“I went when the Cilcain Village show was on and would highly recommend a visit to the village. A lovely little village with a great pub at its heart. The drive into Cilcain is down some very tight lanes so please take your time and enjoy the drive, ride or walk.”
“Great facility and community space run by friendly local volunteers”
“Bitten by a dog and the MIU was so good. Registered me very quickly, then gave me a clean up, tetanus and antibiotics. In and out in less than an hour and all the staff were very friendly. Nothing but good things to say about this place.”

“I have just been there and bought a shed load of beautiful Christmas decorations. They have a huge selection and are far cheaper than other local stores. The staff helped me move stuff and find anything I wanted. They were patient and kind.”
“One of my favourite places. The food is gorgeous from their Italian cuisine to the omelettes. Always friendly and happy, the staff make people feel at home. The place is constantly busy but Maria still finds time to say hello, sadly that prevents her from always answering the phone but you can find the correct number for the cafe on the Facebook page x”
“Dad was delighted to find a tobacconist that sells loose pipe tobacco, whilst having a good chat with its charming owner. This is an authentic family-owned business that offers a personal touch to its customers, well worth a visit.”
“Wonderful food and a wonderful experience, staff are friendly and ready to serve. Food was amazing and well worth the money which is reasonable priced and suited to any budget. A must visit for any occasion. Service with a smile. Atmosphere top notch. My only criticism is they have to many tables upstairs probably to maximise space. This is not a really issues if you like a more cozy environment.”
“I gained a 2:1 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering here. Good course with great tutors. Like everything in life, the more you put in the more you get out. I got involved with the Guild of Students (students union), which put me in contact with students from across the whole university. In my final year I had a serious illness and was given a leave of absence and allowed to repeat the year at no extra cost. Support and assistance was always available and if you didn't know from where you could just drop into the Guild's offices and ask. At the start of the course you are told to read the regulations and assessment criteria for your programme, many students don't and that's why they are taken by surprise by some rules. Most assessments have two opportunities to pass but sometimes they don't or the student runs out of time. That is the regulations state that the course must be completed including all assessments within so many years of enrollment, normally it's twice as long as the course, so a three year degree must be completed within six years. I sat on the Appeals committee as a student representative, it's surprising how many students run out the clock. One took six years on their first year and was asking for an extension of another six years, hoping to complete level 4 the following year. Unfortunately, the maximum time limit is a regulation set in stone and although we could allow them time to complete the course the fees would apply for every year, a degree could not be awarded if they passed.”
“I’ve recently bought a couple of rompers for my baby and some leggings for my daughter, the quality is amazing! Beautiful clothes and selection of materials, super fast at getting your order finished too :)”
