“Would have give 10 if I could, was actually working in the surgery, when I had a tightness in my chest, thought it might have been heartburn or indigestion so I asked the doctor for advice, he examined me and advised I go to a and e straight away, the best advice I have ever been given. After been triaged and assessed I had a heart rate of 160 beats per minute, I am still in hospital. All because of the doctors advice he has possibly saved my life.”

Had a positive birth experience thanks to the professionalism, care and passion of the team (special shout out to Lucy W - cannot thank her enough for shaping my birth story and her incredible and personal care throughout). Despite a couple of emergencies which justifies doctor intervention, the whole team were calm, efficient and seamless. The aftercare from the midwives and breastfeeding support team were also unparalleled. Facilities were fantastic with partners being able to stay in the same room sign their own bed.”

“Recently attended A and E as a patient. Very impressed with the new location and set up. Very organised with several waiting areas, vast improvement from previous A and E. Well organised and efficient, all staff i came into contact with were professional and polite. Waiting time was acceptable, one should accept that this a busy A and E dealing with hundreds of walk in patients . Patience is the watch word . To me the wait is more than acceptable when considering the high work load . I was admitted as an in patient firstly to Majors ward and then to ward 32 . Throughout my stay i was impressed by the professional and polite attitude by all members of staff i came into contact with and the high standards of care. I found the ward very clean and well maintained a credit to all. A vast improvement from the last time i had cause to visit the hospital as a patient several years ago Peter veevers”
