“I have had 2 kite surfing lessons at Northern Kites now, having been told by Littlehampton Beach Watersports that they were a great bunch with a fabulous beach! It was definitely worth the journey to get there (great train service to Wallasey Grove Road which is really close). Everyone has been really friendly and welcoming, helping to dispel some nerves and make the whole experience very enjoyable. The kit and facilities are excellent (including helmet headsets - very useful!) and everything is very well organised, from initial booking process to beach set-up to follow-up debrief email. I've had 2 different instructors, both of whom were very encouraging, calm, enthusiastic, thorough and experienced - I felt very safe and I felt like I was getting the right amount of information and support. They really helped me to get the most out of the lessons and I will be back for more! On the first occasion I also had a trainee instructor accompanying the lesson and he was very helpful - I also chatted to another trainee instructor and feel impressed and reassured by the rigor of the instructor training and the investment in making sure new instructors are coming through of the highest quality. On a location note - I love the sand, allowing for bare feet, and the amazing views of the Welsh hills in one direction and the sculptural cranes of Bootle in the other. The Beach Club is also a great venue and I was sorry I didn't have time to stay for the evening DJ! Thanks to the whole team for making Northern Kites such a great place to learn and visit.”
