“Went to Gravesend for the day and stayed the night here. Was greater kindly and served by Vlada who kindly got us a ground floor room have our Romeo with us (Maltipoo) she recommended a few places to visit while on our stay and very helpful. In the morning had the breakfast that is included in the stay and was welcomed very nicely by Claire who was very friendly too along with all the staff. Overall a lovely place to stay very chilled and wonderful staff”

“I cannot recommend Springfield lodge enough. My little one has been going since December and everyone at the nursery have been great. So caring and really trying to help him develop. He’s been slow to walk but all the staff have been trying to help him. I saw a previous post saying the staff were rude and perhaps it was because she was not from the UK. I really struggle to believe that this has been their experience as truly I think everyone at the nursery is exceptionally kind and really friendly. It’s also very multicultural and they go out of their way to embrace all of the different cultures, both with the variety of food but also loads of little extras including the different languages and celebrations. I’m a first time mum, so didn’t know what to expect but the nursery have gone out their way to reassure me and it really is the best environment for my little one.”

I had to run away twice as I felt in danger. Please try to see who can't behave and if they are not behaving properly while intoxitated ,get them out. Otherwise all great, good vibes. “Value for money, have stayed twice in recent months as a stop en route Eurotunnel and will stay again. Rooms appear recently redecorated/carpeted. Comfortable bed. Strong shower and decent towels. Friendly welcome at reception. Dog friendly. Easy 10-15 minutes walk to the Wharf, good bar/restaurant.”

“Star Day Nursery - Dartford is a great family run nursery with priority on top quality care and creating a great environment for children to learn in. It is highly rated by OFSTED and supported by Kent County Council. It has recently been taken over by a forward thinking management with a passion for all things education. The Dartford branch has a great deal of attention to detail and the small touches in the various rooms and garden makes it feel like home away from home. My 4month old son loves it! The staff are also very committed and enjoy what they do on a day to day basis, displaying their passion in the creative ways for the children to learn. The proximity to the station is also fantastic as I commute into London daily. Pop in and have a chat :-)”

“My son has just finished his first year, I was super nervous about leaving him for the first time but I knew every time I left he was being well cared for. I viewed 10 other play schools/nurseries and none of them compared to the warm feeling at St Andrews. My son tells me about the different things they explore each term and how much fun he has had, especially in the giant sand pit. All the staff are amazing and you can tell they love all the children, my son especially loves his key worker Zoe and constantly talks about her! We look forward to returning in the new year!”

We were also celebrating my son’s birthday, and the team kindly provided a complimentary cake, which made the occasion even more special. “I had a very pleasant evening in the Ivy Leaf which is under new ownership. My intention was to call in for a pint of Guinness. That became several pints plus 3 delicious rolls consumed throughout the course of the evening. Lively friendly atmosphere, great selection of background music and the service was first class thanks to the two ladies behind the bar, Lisa and Fran, who quite clearly enjoy their jobs and have lovely personalities. This is a proper English pub and certainly the best in Dartford.”
