“I recently visited and was absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and a cozy vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food? Simply divine! Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“I’m from Tanzania but loved the authentic African ambiance. Felt right at home. The food was delicious and the service from uncle and auntie was homely. There was a group of people next to us and I loved their energy. Afrobeats was playing in the background ✨ had a lovely time!”
“From the receptionist taken of order to the delivery of the meals in relatively hot conditions considering the distance travelled were first class services. The shredded chicken chow mein, the BBQ spare, and the king prawn fried rice were full of aroma and tasted so delicious. This restaurant is our newfound first to ring when it comes to the Chinese restaurant option. I must say that the delivery person was such a lovely aged man, full of friendly face patient, energetic, and a gentle voice. Respect. Thanks to the chef. Keep the cooking arts vibrant.”
“Its a great pub with good prices. I love my Moretti's at the Lighterman. Def recommending it to everyone, backyard is great on sunny days”
“Honestly the best cafe in London! Star quality food, the chef is simply amazing! The staff here are truly the best, every time I come here with my family they always make me feel so welcome I can’t recommend enough.”
“A short walk from Canning Town station, the staff were friendly, the food options were great, and the coffee was excellent. We had a mix-&-match salad, scrambled eggs, and eggs benedict. We also shared a dessert, and each got coffees. Well priced, nice decor, and good food”
“Just had lunch and wow — the food was so good! The mix grill was perfectly cooked, super juicy, and full of flavor. You could tell it was fresh off the grill with that perfect smoky taste. The Charsi Chicken Karahi was another standout — spicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce was so delicious that we couldn’t resist dipping the naan into every last bit. The service was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back— highly recommended!”
“It was a delight to eat at Alex's Place. We loved every bit of it and the staff were so warm and welcoming. The food was GREAT and so much that my spouse and I could not finish it so we took it home. We ordered a platter and we tried a couple of other dishes on the menu. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!”
“We stumbled into this restaurant on a walk. Tourist stuff ya know. And we were blown away with how good the food was! The service was superb and quick too. If you're looking for a new place to try look no further :)”
“There are pubs and then there's this chain of beautiful east london pubs, the Boleyn Tavern and the Leyton Engineer plus others I wish to find. All the decor has been reconditioned to the style of its original condition more than a hundred years ago.”
“yummy and great customer service!”
“Great Brazilian bar with delicious caipirinhas and Brazilian snacks and dishes and music that takes me back to my time in Brazil. Staff are always very friendly and my hubbie got a cute surprise birthday cake last time we went. /would recommend”
“£5 for three filling omelette with chips and beans is a good price. Swift nice service and overall good place for good meal, for not so London's price. Definitely recommended to visit and try.”
“Wow wow wow .. went into this place for a bacon roll and noticed some chicken on the griddle that looked amazing and straight away changed my mind and went for daily special . It was amazing and the size of the meal was crazy large . The chicken was perfectly seasoned the rice was cooked to perfection and the salad had a great dressing .. all I can say was this meal was delicious and perfect. “Amazing traditional Pakistani food. The service is excellent, the owner (We know him as uncle) has the best hospitality and manners. When uncles not there, his boys, Muazzam, Mukarram and Azam make sure the guests are looked after. 10 out of 10 for me!!”
“I recently tried APR Chicken Pizza, and I was blown away by both the pizza and the chicken! The pizza was perfectly cooked — crispy crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Every bite was full of flavor. But what really surprised me was their chicken — so juicy, crispy, and full of seasoning. It’s hard to find a place that nails both pizza and chicken, but APR does it effortlessly. The staff was friendly and service was quick. You can tell they care about quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving amazing pizza and mouthwatering chicken. Will definitely be coming back!”
“I ordered a Dourada that almost made me cry. I can not wait to go back again. UPDATE. Lamb smells to urine, and portions don't look so big as before, when I ordered meat.”
“You know that moment when you walk into an Italian Bengali restaurant and your brain hesitates? Like… is this going to be another chaotic, Bangla-fusion-gone-wrong, 47-page menu, customer-service-optional situation? Or just maybe a proper Italian spot that makes you think, “Hey hey hey… we might have something here.” Well, I’m glad to report: this place is firmly in the hey hey hey category. The lasagne and the carbonara (halal, of course) absolutely slapped. One bite and I was instantly transported back to my backpacking days in Milan and Rome minus the hostel bunk beds and questionable Wi-Fi. The pizza? Banging. The pasta? Spot on. The lasagne? A hug from Nonna herself. Now yes… I do question their 1,000-item menu, including a full English breakfast, burgers and probably a weather forecast. But somehow, this Italian-Bengali joint is a hidden gem, and the guys in the kitchen genuinely do the Italian dishes the Italian way. Pay them a visit. Support a local business (in cash, IYYK). They do accept card as well but there are some cash deals for collection which are great. The atmosphere and tables are like an east end cafe but the food is banging. Your taste buds will thank you and me.”
“Great restaurant serving South-East Asian cuisine - predominantly Vietnamese, but also some Thai options, Singaporean, and others. Really satisfying, homely meals. Good service and extensive menu. I would love to visit again. This restaurant earns an extra star from me as the portion-sizes are quite substantial.”
“The food is so good that it reminded me of my homeland. I ordered creamy chicken and it was something else, and it comes with bread and butter. The butter is another story, it was the one that reminded me of my homeland. The final one, the desert that we ordered, Trilige, was soft and juicy, incredible!”
“Another great meal at the Galleon Cafe. It’s was so much food I had to climb over it. Delicious”
“Fresh food. Fairly priced. Friendly staff. Great variety of food. Just what I needed.”
“Visited for the first time last weekend. Staff were friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. Will definitely be a regular customer.”

“I’ve ordered from Sana quite a few times now and each time my experience keeps getting better and better. I’ve tried her catering and frozen foods the taste is just incredible, what makes the experience even better is the customer service, the order arrives beautifully packaged and on time. They are very responsive to messages and a delight to speak with. Keep up the great work!”
“Best Brazilian pizza and esfiha we have in a long time, products with good quality and a really nice staff.”
“Great neighbourhood cafe. Cozy and friendly hence difficult to tear yourself away! Cornerstone Community Coffee shop is a friendly space where people can just find someone to talk to and get excellent coffee and light meals at affordable prices, or free in some circumstances. It's run by volunteers from charity - East 13 Christian Trust.”
“I don’t know how this place doesn’t have more reviews because this place is amazing. They have amazing service very kind and welcoming. I travel from the US and I probably would say this is the best service I’ve ever received and I eat out a lot. I recommend the biryani and their Peri Peri chicken is so good. I promise you will not be disappointed. This will be one of my go to places going forward God willing.”
“I normally don't right a review but after reading 2 reviews, one is on racism bcoz one of the new worker asking for and ID for picking up a parcel and 2nd for bulling I totally disagree, I have been going ther for 10 years now and regardless who is in the shop I never had a bully experience and always get pleasure experience, going to ID check this is process when picking up your parcel you have to provide your ID am sure this person wouldn't mind showing their ID if they have to pick up their parcel in post office.”
“Great little cafe. Quality is good, friendly service, good hygiene and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent homemade dishes. Overall much much better since owners have changed. Happily recommend.”
