“Club Gascon offers a refined, inventive cuisine in a beautiful warm and cozy setting. The food is of superb quality, and although not every dish in their 6 or 8 courses menu will please everyone, the quality of the food and the creativity of the pairings makes it an enriching dining experience. The service is very kind and attentive. I would recommend the wine pairing as it paired beautifully with the food, and was very tasty. The restaurant more than deserves its Michelin star, and in my opinion is a must-visit for anyone looking for a calm fine dining experience in London. The setting of the restaurant is also fantastic around Smithfield Market, on the northern boundary of the City of London, a stone’s throw away from Farringdon Elizabeth Line station entrance.”

“What a place! Completely unsuspecting, given that it's just a door next to Hendon Central Underground Station. Even the name on the front doesn't specify that it's a bona fide curry house. The only thing that gives it away is the delicious smells that emanates from the premises. I took my younger brother there to celebrate him completing his degree and we were both absolutely stunned with the service, the atmosphere and of course the food! I had the palak lamb and he had the chicken madras. Each bite was a deep explosion of fragrant flavour. I also bought a butter chicken for my partner at home. Her only complaint was that I didn't buy any rice for her! With all that we bought - 3 mains (one was takeaway), onion bhaji, pilau rice, two naans and about 4 pints - it came to just under 70 quid plus tip (tip not included), which is not bloody bad if you ask me! The waiter that served us was very attentive, keeping our pints filled up and making sure we were enjoying our time there. There is also a pool table and a buzzing sports scene there too, though I did not get too involved in that as I was too taken by the food. Also, don't be deceived, while you do go below street level as you enter, it is not some sort of windowless basement. It actually backs onto the tube platform and you watch as the trains come and go - adding yet more intrigue to the already fantastic atmosphere. There's also an outdoor smoking area, away from the street if you're a smoker. Another thing that deserves a mention is the dips they provide with the popadums. Of course there's a raita, but instead of the lime pickle - which is usually take it or leave it for me - they provide some sort of mild chilli sauce. My goodness! That was something really special. I would try to describe it but it wouldn't express how exciting the sauce is. In fact, the sentiment of that last sentence could be applied to the entire experience! Do not waste time reading my review; go to The Arena and have a bloody great curry!”

“Popped i on a Friday night with a group of friends. Had the best time with beautiful dancers and received amazing service from Martina. She took an amazing care of us and the impeccable girl I’ve ever seen. Would highly recommend to come especially on the weekends. 1000/100”

“Food is great value for money, Have tried the roast which was amazing cooked to perfection and was even allowed to order extra roast potatoes at a small extra charge. Fish is lovely a friend had this. Burgers are excellent thick and cooked to your liking. Definitely a place worth visiting .”

“This is a wonderful little gem on Radlett High Street (Watling Street) by the roundabout going towards Borehamwood. Many people do not realise it's there but it is well worth a look. It has a wonderful atmosphere and surprisingly cheap drinks for the area. I've always found both the staff and the patrons to be very friendly and welcoming. The cheese nights and Bbqs that are held there are wonderful. All are welcome to pop in and take a look before joining, so if you fancy a regular venue to have a drink and play either snooker or pool why not try it!”

“Wow.....What a fantastic meal! - the offer with First Table is exceptional value for money. We ate like royalty and did not hold back.....nibbles, starters, sushi and mains - everything was simply delicious!! I highly recommend the Tuna Tostadas to start, what an immense way to get your taste buds going - the tuna was so fresh and the lovely hint of heat from the jalapeños.....yum! Other highlights were the Red Prawn Truffle - so light and yet packed with intense flavours and also the Spicy Buttermilk Chicken Karaage - so crispy and juicy. The Black Miso Cod of course was a true delight, with that deep, rich flavour coming throb with each bite - the slight charring on the edges giving a nice texture. If you have room for dessert, the Passionfruit Creme Brulee was stunning, beautifully presented, served with little diced cubes of fruit and tasted sublime. To note, the service was impeccable - our server was friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. “It was a good place to enjoy a quieter and more leisurely dinner than the Copa Club London Bridge branch. The kindness and friendliness of the staff were impressive, and the atmosphere was good not only in the igloo seats but also in the inside seats, so I think you can have a good experience no matter where you sit. I would like to rate the taste of this place a little higher than the Google rating. The signature pizza was also delicious, and the atmosphere, menu, taste, and service were all excellent.”
