    Knutsford Primary Academy

“I went here years ago as a kid and honestly? I'm super glad I went here. My secondary school experience was horrible and I barely learnt anything, but thanks to this school I had a base knowledge and understanding on how to deal with certain things. The students in my class were lovely too (from my memory) and the teachers were really good at their job. I know if I went to another primary school my experiences that I had would have been drastically different so I'm seriously grateful that the staff that worked here did such a great job. From my memory they also had a good choice of after-school clubs and my sister (who also went here) was in one of them. I'm doing a Level 3 Diploma now in college and I feel like I owe this school a thank you and I don't know how else to do that other than write a review. So thank you! I'd imagine the school has changed a lot since I've been here (since it was around 6-5ish years ago) but I'd also assume that it's still the same in a weird way. I recommend sending your children here, I really do.”

““Inspiring our children and community to be the very best that they can be!” As a Trustee I feel really privileged and proud to be involved in this journey. “Inclusive” is not only our name but core to everything we do to help our community fulfil the hopes and dreams of our children. Every day our 3 Watford primary schools – Beechfield, Cherry Tree and Laurance Haines work closely together to create great opportunities which inspire our pupils to learn and develop skills to adapt and succeed in our ever changing world. Each school is very much a part of the local community with its own distinct characteristics and curriculum –we don’t believe that one size fits all but a nurturing philosophy underlines everything we do. As part of a group of schools we provide opportunities for our children to participate and share in exciting projects across the schools – whether sporting, outdoors or creative - for example our art display in Watford Museum or the more recent song written and performed to celebrate and thank Covid-19 key workers. Supporting our people to succeed is a core belief and strength – we are lucky to include former pupils among our teaching staff! Working together enables the sharing and development of best practice whilst addressing workload too. Good career progression is available across the Trust schools. “if you want to go fast, go alone. “I attended a breastfeeding support group today and I found the staff at reception to be so welcoming and helpful and friendly, we also attended a play session afterwards for toddlers and the staff were amazingly warm and supportive and inclusive. I think it is one of the best experiences I've had as a mother in a children's centre. It was so so nice and I can't thank them enough!”
