“Great old school cafe in the very posh Parsons Green. Food is great value for money and they are very generous with the portions, perfect for a hangover. Good to see a cafe like this still open in this day and age, very relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. Bonus marks for having a TV showing the Italian Job (original Michael Caine version) which entertained me whilst I waited for my mate.”

Yeah that didn't sound like food review because it was beyond just cooking and presenting tasty food. I enjoyed the precision of the cooked food. No diner would miss the point. I had to admit I was a bit skeptical when primi was served with no presentation at all, but I guess that was the chef's statement of unpretentious food. Loved the tiramisu, too, a real proper one, not any layered sugary cake using that name to confuse the market.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here, fresh well cooked food and a great charity. The Shakshuka was perfectly flavoured with an excellent range of spices and depth of Middle-Eastern flavours. Mushroom soup was delicious and the sourdough bread was soft with a crunchy outside. The Salhev (coconut creamy drink with pistachios) is one of my personality favourites - and highly recommend. The entire restaurant has great service, lovely decoration and atmosphere, and with excellent food!”
