““Inspiring our children and community to be the very best that they can be!” As a Trustee I feel really privileged and proud to be involved in this journey. “Inclusive” is not only our name but core to everything we do to help our community fulfil the hopes and dreams of our children. Every day our 3 Watford primary schools – Beechfield, Cherry Tree and Laurance Haines work closely together to create great opportunities which inspire our pupils to learn and develop skills to adapt and succeed in our ever changing world. Each school is very much a part of the local community with its own distinct characteristics and curriculum –we don’t believe that one size fits all but a nurturing philosophy underlines everything we do. As part of a group of schools we provide opportunities for our children to participate and share in exciting projects across the schools – whether sporting, outdoors or creative - for example our art display in Watford Museum or the more recent song written and performed to celebrate and thank Covid-19 key workers. Supporting our people to succeed is a core belief and strength – we are lucky to include former pupils among our teaching staff! Working together enables the sharing and development of best practice whilst addressing workload too. Good career progression is available across the Trust schools. “if you want to go fast, go alone. “I toured ten nurseries before I found FRS Kindergarten and knew I didn’t need to look anywhere else. The teachers are so caring and responsive to children’s needs and interests. Just in the past week, activities have included building airports and going on ‘holiday’ with friends/relatives from Uganda, Hong Kong, Russia, South Africa talking to them on zoom or in the huge nursery garden about their home towns around the world, plus the children have been cooking dishes from around the world , learning music, and sports. It’s a Jewish nursery but not exclusively so and the families come from a huge range of backgrounds and locations. It’s small, nurturing, very outdoorsy, super covid safe, which we as a family were particularly worried about. The nursery accepts children from 2 and I couldn’t recommend it more! My two eldest have been and currently attend and my baby will as soon as she’s old enough!”

“We have been part of the Fountain family for 5 years. It’s a very nurturing and loving environment- the teachers are excellent & can see how much they care about each child. With the recent challenges faced due to Covid-19, the nursery has responded extremely well in getting back up and running with the safety measures put in place. We feel reassured with the checks and practices implemented. Well done Fountain team!”

“We have had an absolutely wonderful experience with Greenwood Nursery. Coming from a previous nursery where a serious case of abuse had been announced a year ago, trusting a new setting again was not easy for us. At first, we also weren’t fully convinced by the layout, as the nursery is split into two separate buildings. But in the end, this turned out to be a real positive;everything runs smoothly, and the setup actually works incredibly well. The staff are truly fantastic. They provide detailed handovers every day and post frequently on the app, where we can clearly see how busy and engaged they are with the children. Our child was excited to go to nursery every morning and absolutely loved every single member of the team. One of the things we appreciate the most is the variety of activities they offer. They don’t just stay indoors;they take the children out regularly, and they even organised visits to a local care home. This is one of the most heartwarming activities we’ve seen, benefiting both the children and the elderly residents. They also go to the playground twice a day, and at the end of our son’s final day, he came home with a whole bag full of arts and crafts he had made. Although our son is now in school and attends a different nursery for afterschool hours (purely for convenience), we truly miss Greenwood. One of their standout qualities is their openness: parents can come inside at pick-up, walk in freely, and see the children in action without making them uncomfortable or interrupting. This transparency gave us a huge sense of trust and peace of mind;something we haven’t found elsewhere, where doors barely open and everything feels much more closed off. At Greenwood, you can pop in at any time and see exactly what’s going on. They have nothing to hide, and it shows. We would 100% recommend this nursery to any parent. For us, it’s the best nursery in town. If they had an outdoor space, it would be a 10/10;but since they go outside twice a day anyway, I think they fully deserve that 10/10. Definitely give them a try. We’re so grateful for the amazing experience they provided our little one.”

“We’ve had the best experience at The White House. My son, who is now at a Senior school choosing GCSES, achieved excellent offers thanks to the support of his amazing teachers and the school. My daughter, in her final years, is thriving academically, excelling in sports, and has built strong relationships with peers. The school is like a community and We’re grateful for everything this school has provided and highly recommend it. Be sad to when my daughter’s time comes to an end but all good things …”

“Butterflies is an amazing pre-school. My daughter started just after turning 3 and she’s had the most wonderful year there. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm and caring. She settled in so quickly and has looked forward to going on her days. The environment is nurturing, fun and full of thoughtful activities that have really helped her grow in confidence and independence. I honestly only wish I had sent her sooner. Thank you so much to the entire Butterflies team for giving her such a happy and enriching start to life.”
