“I have been at the repair cafe and I was very happy with the repaired table lamp I brought. It was a friendly atmosphere and there were helpful people and an exchange of knowledge. “I really enjoy the classes with my son Freddie. We are now going onto level 4 baby swim with Nano. Nano is a great instructor, he takes time to explain what we need to do and shows professionalism and makes the classes enjoyable. My son who's 11 months loves the swimming and listening to the nursery rhymes. I would recommend osterley centre it is clean and staff are lovely. It's a brilliant set up and I'm looking forward to many more lessons. Xox”

“Our son has been attending 1st Place at Chumleigh Gardens since he was 10 months old and we couldn’t be happier with the care he has received over the past three years. The staff are fantastic—kind, nurturing, and dedicated. He has built strong relationships with his carers, many of whom have been there throughout his time at the nursery, providing a wonderful sense of continuity. One of the things we love most is the emphasis on outdoor play and exploration. He thrives on being outside every day and especially enjoys the trips to forest school. The nursery also fosters a great sense of community, and he has made lots of friends along the way. The focus on child development is excellent, ensuring he is well-prepared for the next stage of learning. We are incredibly grateful for the care and support he has received and would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.”

“The definitive, inclusive local community hub with a heart. It provides a vast range of social, cultural and educational activities as well as a drop-in support centre. In addition to its indoor facilities there is a lovely little community garden which is partly sheltered so that it can be enjoyed in almost all weathers. The staff and volunteers tended to be highly enthusiastic and caring which is probably why the place has such a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.”

“This school has such a special place in my (and my children’s) heart. The attentiveness, kindness and care of all the teachers/staff is unmatched. I love that they put heart into making the environment warm and homey; and it has a great garden space too. They truly care about getting to know your child and they care about you as a parent as well. The school has a beautiful parent & child group where my child and I met many friends. It also has a wonderful, tight-knit community within the school. They even offer parent workshops from time to time that really make us parents feel supported through different phases of our kids life. I have so much more to say but I’ll leave with this being said: the greatest gift you can give to your child is to let their imagination be encouraged and nurtured in a safe environment - and this school is it.”

Shawley also has a big playground and field. It has years from reception to year 6. There is a hall where you have assembly and food. The food is really good and nutritious. “Wonderful children’s centre run by volunteers, we’ve been coming for about a year now. Baby group (under 18 months) and a bigger kid group too. They have a large play space including outside, with lots of different play areas. Check instagram for opening times as they do change. Also often cook a healthy veggie lunch for kids and parents too. My daughter loves it here.”

“My son is currently in Year 9 and he is extremely happy in FGCS and doing well academically with great support from excellent staff and friendship groups. The results in this school speak for themselves...6th best in the country for GCSE results! and outstanding as well! Yes discipline is strict with one-hour detention for even being 1-minute late but detention is never during lessons, instead always after school or on a Saturday. I love that the school discipline system is so strict and consistent resulting in fewer children repeating poor behaviour and respecting staff more as they should be. An inspirational school which defies the assumption that schools have institutional Racism, with a very high percentage of SLT being from BME community, which represents the make-up of the school community hence encouraging children to aim/achieve high. Rarely see schools like FGCS with such a high number of BME staff at SLT level. Please look at their job vaccancy list, rarely jobs advertised because staff do not leave and are clearly happy there! Happy staff=Happy students! Well done FGCS keep on doing what your doing the formula works!”
