“Great experience, the restaurant has a very classy feel and we were welcomed very warmly by staff. We opted for the surf and turf share platter which was out of this world, the meat was top quality and cooked to perfection, the platter also coming with a range of sides to completment the vast meat selection! Beer and wine was excellent and the atmosphere was good even though it was quite an early Wednesday dinner sitting. Highly recommend Turkish in Essex and I shall definitely be returning to the fat turk !”

“Have bought 2 chairs on 2 different occasion within the span of a year and wow! Firstly, they have an amazing assortment of chairs, parts and are the only place supplying the Atlas headrest (it’s a must!). And their support is very quick to respond with my barrage of questions. Shipping is quick and assembling the chair takes 5 mins. Well worth a look with these guys to get high quality Aerons for a nice price. :)”

“Excellent from start to finish, and second to none. I have now had Neatsmith wardrobes in two of my homes. The whole experience of working with this company to maximise your home storage potential is sublime from start to finish. I have worked with Kasia in Neatsmith Brentwood on both of my projects. She is excellent at design consultations and will take you through all of Neatsmith’s stylish options to store your clothes, shoes, and other belongings. The wardrobes come in a range of colours and finishes which suit all budget types. I personally went with Neatsmith’s cheapest option for my most recent wardrobes and I can say that are still much better quality than Hammonds, Sharps and Wren. Kasia’s customer service is second to none. She is incredibly knowledgable about wardrobe design projects and asks all the right questions so that she can ensure your finished design is perfect. Trust me - she will foresee the small problems you can’t and find you a solution! She creates excellent CAD mock-ups of your design ideas to help you make decisions on design and style. Her sales approach is not pushy and she will always do her best to offer you the most competitive price (my Neatsmith quote was cheaper than Sharps - and Neatsmith provide a full carcass! Sharps don’t!) I can’t fault her in her work and I am always looking forward to my next opportunity to work with her (next up is an entertainment unit for the living room). Neatsmith will also come out to your property and assess the space for your wardrobes to ensure the design will fit perfectly. Some competitors don’t do this, and this means you can end up with some nasty surprises when your wardrobes come to be installed and it’s too late to change your mind. Nobody wants a wardrobe door that clashes with a bed frame. Neatsmith will spot any mistakes and can adjust your design to make sure it suits your space perfectly. The quality of Neatsmith’s wardrobes is, in my opinion, unbeatable. They’re incredibly well-made, and are truly made-to-measure. Hammonds will tell you their wardrobes are made-to-measure. They are not. Their wardrobes are modular and come in two prefabbed sizes, and the quality of their product is nowhere near Neatsmith’s. Being limited to pre-fabbed, modular sizes means you can’t maximise your storage potential. Neatsmith will charge you a fairer price for a much better quality product. If you want pre-fab, you may as well skip Hammonds and buy Ikea. Neatsmith also have the most incredible installation team. I have a 1930’s property and my walls are very uneven. My Neatsmith fitter, Vlad, has done the most incredible scribing on this project to the point where you would never notice the walls’ imperfections. Take a look at the photos if you want the receipts. No filling or caulking was required for this project - just incredibly accurate scribing. He even mounted the TV bracket for me to make sure my project was perfect - excellent service! Do not overlook this company for your next project. I think some people will think their product is unaffordable as the brand is a bit bougie - which is simply not the case. Neatsmith’s product is fairly priced and you will be much happier with the end result over wardrobes from Hammonds/Sharps/Wren etc. And no, this is not a sponsored review! This is a fair and honest review from a loyal customer who knows value for money when he sees it!”

“Our amazing Tom Howley kitchen was completed today. From start to finish the whole experience has been fantastic. From the initial visit to the Brentwood showroom to the final hand painted finish. Jonathan did a superb job spending lots of time and meeting with my wife and I on several occasions to make sure we were completely happy with the design. Barry was our installer an exceptional joiner whose work is faultless. Such a skilful man who was a pleasure to have in our home. We then had Matt a really nice guy who came and helped with a few adjustments again a lovely guy. Then yesterday and today Alfie came and hand painted the kitchen to again an exceptional standard and once again a lovely guy who was a pleasure to have in our home. Finally Ian was our Ian West our Field Installation Manager and he also did his outmost to make sure we were happy communication with us throughout. I’m not sure where Tom Howley find their team of people but I can say you couldn’t ask for a nicer team of people and the finished kitchen is nothing but OUTSTANDING! “Like the Black Horse, this is a pub that's more of a food place than a pub, but there's a proper bar area if you're just in there for drinks. Food is good and they often have deals on. They often have entertainment on, although this is usually just a solo singer with backing tracks. The pub quiz is once a month on the first Monday of the month (although is moving to twice a month in 2026); it's a good quiz with 8 rounds of questions on a variation of subjects. Overall a decent place for the locals of Pilgrims Hatch!”
