“Just been. Nom nom nom very tasty! We had a single meat handi which was a tender lamb curry, a mixed salad, a cheese and chilli naan, and the tandoori mixed grill. All very good, there wasn't anything left on our plates. We're very full now. The Indian soundtrack was a bit erratic, it kept skipping and stopping, but the ambience was nice and plush, the food was tasty, and reasonably priced, and the bill came out really reasonable for 2 people who have eaten as much as they physically can- £38. It was so reasonable because we didn't buy drinks- they don't have an alcohol licence yet, so they let you BYOB! So we brought a few lagers, and they provided glasses. A very good evening. They do takeaway also, and cater events, and have a banqueting hall upstairs. It's a very big building the former Greaves Arms.”

“What we really like about going to this Costa is that most times we are there there it's not too busy. Tables are spaced out well so that they don't tend to feel claustrophobic. The music is not too heavy, so we are able to enjoy both it and conversation. Not always a great selection of foodstuffs. And, although you can use your Costa card to add points, you can't redeem them at this location (bit of a pain). Still, it has also thought about families with very young children in providing a few things to do. On the whole, it's not a bad place to visit if you don't mind paying the Costa prices!”

“Located on Elk Mill retail park relatively new building. Nice, bright and pleasant always clean and tidy. Normally quick service. Baristas very fast and friendly. All on one level with easy access for disabled/wheelchair users. Children's play area outside. Large free car park.”

“Really nice lil cafe, friendly staff, the coffee here is amaaaaazingly good a must try also the food looks top drawer!!! Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“Found ourselves stuck outside the shop on a Sunday with a bust tire in 28c heat, this amazing lady opened up the shop just so we could get some cold drinks whilst we waited for recovery such a nice gesture goes a long way. Will definitely return to try the food! 10/10 customer service!”

“A lovely cafe with welcoming staff members. They are in the perfect spot for a bite to eat at the end of your walk. They accept cards as well as cash and the prices are reasonable. A Kelly's ice cream on a nice cone was £3. There are toilets too. Parking can be difficult on weekends but we've never struggled in the week”

“I went with my mum a few weeks ago and it was our first time going since it changed from Kitty's. While I noticed some things were different the important stuff was the same. The food was great, the service was lovely, and in typical fashion we were so full we needed to take the rest home! “Small but packs a punch. Only a small cafe but the welcoming was lovely, service was very attentive. We went for breakfast, the menu had a great choice of healthy and the usuals. We had a bit of both. Freshest ingredients used and looks like locally sourced, where that could be achieved. The food was hot, tasty, and well priced. The atmosphere seems busy with all the plants but I get that the view outside isn't the greatest. Could look smart with different table surfaces/covers. Don't let the location put you off as this is a little gem for food and service.”

“We absolutely love The Cafe and we do probably order at least once a week. We do get breakfast and lunch! The food is always absolutely delicious and great portion sizes too! I love the little touches too, such as the odd extra crusty bread with our salad or sometimes a slice of cake with a little note and a smile! Great service, great food! Love it! Just sometimes they are so busy delivery is turned off but that just goes to show how popular they are! Definitely recommend!”
