“Went to see Barbie with some friends. The seats were very comfy, lots of room. The popcorn was really fresh and the hotdogs were okay. The movie watching area was cool instead of freezing (great stuff!) and it was super clean! Staff were courteous and nice”

“The food was great, Borek for starters very nice and the POLLO REINA for main. The chicken was so tender with a smokey grilled taste under the creamy garlic white wine sauce. Even the peppers within the sauce were so tasty. My partner and I were so extremely blessed that they let us have the top floor to ourselves, which really made our night. “We ordered some food to celebrate St Valentine. We enjoyed it very much. Everything was cooked to perfection and we were very happy with our choice. This was our first ever visit but surely will not be the last. Very friendly and smiley people. They even threw in a gift, Italian made grilled aubergine.”

“Happy Valley is a lovely area just outside Bramall Park but following the same river (The Ladybrook though it does change its name a few times). Enter from Valley Road or Headlands Road and quite a few other places. Roadside parking unless you enter from the lay-by on Jacksons Lane. The Valley itself is a peaceful walk through ancient woodland and fields. Unspoilt but the path is partially paved so wheelchair friendly from Valley Road and upon reaching the bridge you cross it for further paved surface. Or don't cross the bridge and walk up the other side of the river which has plenty of benches but can get a bit boggy after sustained rain. This is my dogs favourite place and I'd guess many other dogs favourite places as they get so excited jumping into the river. All off lead walking btw. If you're not a dog walker it still holds the same beauty with plenty of room for everyone.”

“First time here and certainly won’t be the last, minced chicken with lettuce wraps and salt & pepper prawn were the most savoury light delectable starters with duck, rice and the star of the show, steamed whole sea bass for main. My oh my best sea bass I have ever eaten, moist, fell off the bone, intensely savoury liquor, no extra thickeners. Just wow. And Sunny. Sunny sunny sunny. You were the highlight of the evening. Please visit this place you won’t regret it, we will definately be back, same again please ❤️”

“Spent a nice sunny Sunday morning here and had a really good time. Our dog was absolutely enjoying the space! We unfortunately didn't find an accessible path down to the river so that was a disappointment, but I'm hoping to be able to go down to the river the next time around. Definitely recommend a visit to the park. It's very well kept and serene.”

“Great venue for any celebration or even a nice pint on a sunny day. Whole place was spotlessly clean each time I've visited. Staff couldn't do enough for us on the night of the event and were so nice to everyone. I will definitely hire again, the setting is lovely as it is right next to the canal running through Marple. Plenty of parking space too”

“I come here often as I live in the local area. It is a lovely park with lots of greenery for young people like me to relax and get drinks at the shops nearby. It also has a good playground for younger kids, and a football pitch and tennis court for some sports. Really good.”

“We held a family party for around 50 people at Mellor &Townscliffe. The venue was lovely - big room which we were allowed to decorate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet was delicious and plenty of it. Private outdoor space for the kids to run around in. It was a perfect day and couldn't have gone better. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Peruga!”

“What a beautiful pub!! We first discovered stockport for afternoon drinking ( before lockdown) from a trip out with our local historian and Sentinel writer Mervyn Edwards.. we fell in love with the preserved Victorian history and friendly locals...since then we travel from stoke and stay over regularly. This visit I particularly wanted to discover the Star and Garter. Stunning building...on entrance we were warmly welcomed by barman Craig.. it was fascinating to learn about the pubs history and Craig's family working within the pub trade for generations. Of course we enjoyed Robinsons Iron Maiden bitter.. a perfect pint..a creamy head all the way down the glass! A cash only pub... my husband always supports Cash is King ! A lovely traditional friendly local pub.. we'll definitely visit again.”

“Amazing! Nicola is a the exact person you want to see in a play centre/restaurant. Me and my children were welcomed from the front door (first time) and showed the play area, made conversation and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Nicola is clearly a child friendly lady (surprisingly not all play centre staff are!) she was happy, energetic, polite, funny and looked after everyone there even as it got busier. A massive relief to feel like this when you have a child who can be easily overstimulated and the reaction of new adults and environments can have a huge affect on behaviour. Tilly was so happy and couldn’t wait to get in and also spoke to Nicole as she clearly felt comfortable. Great play area for my 3 and 1 year old. After attending many play areas the staff make a huge different to wanting to return! Nicola told us about the sessions we will definitely be attending for SEN. “Great experience! We took 5 kids bowling for my daughter’s 7th Birthday. The staff were great. We asked to switch lanes to give us a bit more space and they did so happily. We ordered drinks for all of the kids and 2 coffees for us, all great. Sharon was especially friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great time!”
