“Visited The Painted Man today for my first tattoo. After a bit of research I found Meg (lou.loutattoo) & absolutely loved her work. We messaged a few times & agreed on this design & I’m so happy with it. She is so approachable & made sure I was 100% happy with her design before we started. I’ve had a blast today, the hours flew by as she worked her magic. The studio is such a relaxing place to be. Incredibly clean & professional. “The steak was really nice when we visited earlier in the month. We had a seafood platter and king platter to share. There was a lot of meat on the king platter and meat was very tender. As it was a Thursday, it was really quiet and no one in the restaurant until we were nearly finished. The staff were really friendly and nice to the kids as they played around the table.”

“We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday and were greeted so warmly by the host/manager. We have been a few times to this restaurant and the bar staff recognised us which was so lovely, recognition from staff goes a long way and made us feel so warm and welcome! Drinks arrived so quickly and he even remembered what we had last time we visited which was incredible service from him. The cocktails didn’t disappoint. The service was unbelievable, at no point did we have to ask for drinks order or food order to be taken. They’re incredibly attentive here. The food is artwork, it is so fresh and home made which is exactly what you want in a lovely independent restaurant. The lighting was perfect and the music fitted the restaurant aesthetic and the time of day we arrived. I can’t fault this place whatsoever, can’t recommend it enough.”

“Visited 29/04/2024, at lunch time parking was available in the limited spots at front of the building. Go in and there is the restaurant part to the right as you go in. The seabass on the potato dauphinois and green beans was very tasty, the side of salt and pepper chips was also nice. “Lovely takeaway meals and is a convenient location with parking spaces! I noticed there were new owners and as such their service is slower than usual but still satisfactory. I will give them time to adapt and perhaps change a few small things to make this takeaway better, but it is already looking better in terms of food and cleanliness. At first I was scared of trying as a recent review said sweet n sour prawns were £10.50, however when I ordered it, it turned out to be only around £5.90 which is cheaper than most takeaways in this area; glad I didn't listen to that review! Overall lovely food and experience :)”
