“Really nice lil cafe, friendly staff, the coffee here is amaaaaazingly good a must try also the food looks top drawer!!! Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“Found ourselves stuck outside the shop on a Sunday with a bust tire in 28c heat, this amazing lady opened up the shop just so we could get some cold drinks whilst we waited for recovery such a nice gesture goes a long way. Will definitely return to try the food! 10/10 customer service!”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. “A lovely cafe with welcoming staff members. They are in the perfect spot for a bite to eat at the end of your walk. They accept cards as well as cash and the prices are reasonable. A Kelly's ice cream on a nice cone was £3. There are toilets too. Parking can be difficult on weekends but we've never struggled in the week”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Lovely licenced cafe by the canal - stopped for a coffee/drink mid afternoon. Sat on the veranda overlooking the canal. Husband had cider, I had coffee and apple pie. Staff were friendly and helpful - very attentive too. Lovely place to sit out and watch the ducks go by. Blankets also provided, if required. This is very common in Europe, glad to see more places in UK are doing the same, especially since lockdown. The scones and cookies looked amazing, so we got some to take away.”

“I visit Georgia’s frequently. The food is served to a high standard, it’s delivered quickly and the service is always amazing. Large room for functions with djaying facilities and in the summer there are plenty of tables outside with beautiful views over the green and beyond, all the way to Winter Hill in Horwich. Thank you for making us feel at home. Lots of laughs and a great day/night. Stayed far too long! Will definitely return again and again and again! :-)”

“I came here today with my dog & it was like stepping back in time to my grandmas kitchen on a Saturday morning in the nicest way . The staff was so welcoming and warm especially with me having the dog . The atmosphere was just so wholesome it really felt like I was just in my grans kitchen . The decor is very very clean & the food was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had . But hers sausage and bacon perfect orange yoky eggs with load of yoke , thick cut toast . Everything about it was beautiful so it looks like il be driving 40 mins for a breakfast every week . I also went alone with the dog which I’ve never ate alone before and not once did I felt uncomfortable.”
