“I recently visited The Old Original for a lovely Sunday meal, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding).The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot when served. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff making sure we had everything we needed. I chose from the fixed menu, and ended the meal with a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was a real treat! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a candle on the table, and the rural setting with its lovely views makes it a perfect place to unwind. While the car park is a little on the small side, street parking is available, so it’s not too much of an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this pub. The food, service, and overall experience were top-notch, and I can’t wait to return soon!”

The food was exceptional, with clear attention to quality and flavour. The burgers in particular were outstanding and easily among the best I’ve had in Manchester. “The BEST NAAN so far!!!! After a shopping trip to IKEA thought we would drop by for a quick bite, never been to this place before and what a hidden gem it is. This place has a good atmosphere and the service was exceptional. There was so much on the menu and like all other sharwama places all the same, this place did the best and most delicious NAAN compared to other places the food here was excellent even the staff was friendly. We ordered the mince seekh kebab and chicken sharwarma, wanted the mix with lamb but its so popular it was gone. We was suprised when the staff brought us some lentil soup we was not expecting, that was tasty and a good dip to dip with the kebab and naan. The salad was non to fault it was very good even to the napkins lol the quality from start to finish was excellent The price was not bad either you get alot for the money, If you have not tried this place don’t walk, RUN to this hidden gem you will not be disappointed. Try out the NAAN.”

“This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. Already planning the next visit. Keep up the good work guys. Fantastic food and portions are really good.And we had dessert on the house.”

“Lovely licenced cafe by the canal - stopped for a coffee/drink mid afternoon. Sat on the veranda overlooking the canal. Husband had cider, I had coffee and apple pie. Staff were friendly and helpful - very attentive too. Lovely place to sit out and watch the ducks go by. Blankets also provided, if required. This is very common in Europe, glad to see more places in UK are doing the same, especially since lockdown. The scones and cookies looked amazing, so we got some to take away.”

“A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”

“I don't know why they don't have enough reviews online but the food they make is really good. I was working at a place nearby this, I forgot to bring my lunch that day and looked for something nearby me. I ordered masuma mega mix and believe me it literally had truck loads of meat on a really big naan. Portion size was massive and it's so tough to just eat it all by yourself. The staff is quite generous and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some great food nearby.”

“My mum and I visited the farm shop and cafe and had afternoon tea and it was absolutely gorgeous. They provided great veggie options and it was overall delicious. You could add on a glass of Prosecco or a larger for an additional cost also. The crockery was lovely and the staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend !”
