“Went here for a family reunion, the pub was great something for everyone, play area with bouncy castle for young ones, pool table for teenagers. Great outside seating really deceiving from the front. Would definitely go again, maybe in a smaller group lol. We ate in stages which wasn't great but rhere were 18 of us so understand. Parking is along rhe Road or just opposite.”

“Andy did the disco for my husband’s 30th birthday party at Wolstanton Golf Club. He arrived over an hour before the party started to ensure everything was set up in time and there was music playing for people to arrive to, he took requests all night from kids music to rock to pop and everything in between. He kept the dance floor busy all night and we had a great time, I would highly recommend. Thank you Andy.”

“We booked the function room upstairs for a hen party and it was perfect! The perfect size for what we needed and the staff were so helpful. We booked grazing boards for the event with the chef and they were absolutely brilliant. Couldn't recommend them more. The drinks from downstairs were delicious and well priced. Bingo Sunday afternoon 8 games. £1 per ticket and a jackpot for members holding their membership cards with the correct coloured club sticker.”

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, engaging in delightful conversation that added a personal touch to our visit. The food was excellent – we tried the sharing platters and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and great value. The pub’s Christmas decorations were beautifully done, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. This is easily one of the best Greene King locations we’ve visited locally, and we’ll definitely be returning!”

“We had an afternoon tea here with the kids. All in all it was fantastic- I can’t remember the person who served us, blonde man with glasses as I recall, but he was ace. Nothing was too much trouble and he dealt with any issues or questions we had. Would definitely go again!”

Update [15/02/2020] - Had a really nice meal here today and the staff were really friendly/nice. Menus have slightly changed and there is still plenty to choose from and if you ask for a drink to be made they can try make it for you which is really nice of them.”

“The staff were amazing and the food was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly helpful. We were there for my mum’s funeral, and I can’t praise Dan and the rest of his team enough. They were so professional and respectful throughout. The food was lovely, and everyone commented on how nice it was. The venue itself was perfect for the occasion, and I genuinely can’t fault a single thing. My only suggestion is that management should invest more in advertising, as we found this place purely by chance – and I’m so glad we did. When I first searched online for wake venues, all that came up were really expensive places that didn’t feel right. This venue only appeared when I tried searching for pubs and hoped they might host private events. Thank you, Dan and the team, for making an extremely difficult day a little easier. I will definitely be recommending you to others.”

“I had the carvery for the first time yesterday. Can honestly say it was lovely, the meat was all cooked beautifully and so were the trimmings. Not small portions either. The young lady who served us on the bar, Sammie was so friendly and polite she's hands down a credit to the place and the chefs serving food were very polite aswell. The whole building is lovely and clean. I personally love the displays of all the stokie pottery.. being a stokie myself it makes me super proud to see it out on display with pride. Nice sized beer/smoking garden and a small play area indoors for children. Not too pricey and quality of the food is fantastic. They sell stunning cakes aswell which are to die for. Definitely worth trying if you haven't already you won't be disappointed. Can't recommend here enough.”

On the day, He had everyone on the dancefloor all night, with the perfect mix of songs for all ages. He was so accommodating with requests and even helped with timings for our first dance and speeches. So many of our guests have commented on how fantastic the music was.
