“Lovely old boozer with some modern fittings. Good selection of real ales and ciders. Bar staff a little surly but very efficient. Rough and ready just like the Black Country. Didn’t eat on this visit but the cobs are great!”

“We recently booked a room with Stephen at the Whimsey, for a family gathering after our mother's funeral service, with the buriel just around the corner at Willenhall Lawn Cemetery. Stephen was so understanding to our situation and spoke with us a few times prior to check exactly what we would like. The Whimsey supplied all the catering which consisted of soup & sandwiches, curry & rice, also tea & coffee, at a very reasonable price. We had the whole pub to ourselves from 1-3pm, until he opened, however we could stay as long as we liked. We would like to thank Stephen and all at the Whimsey for making this day so special. We totally recommend this venue for any family events”
“Had heard lots of good things about the food at the jolly collier and finally managed to get over and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and efficient, and our server was very friendly. The food was absolute top notch. We will definitely be bringing the family along in the future.”
