“Is this the best pub in Wolvo for real ale drinkers. Think 9 pumps on one had gone. Luckilly these update Real Ale Finder, albeit may be 4 days out was glad to see what could be described as packed almost solid pre 10pm. First off Attic Brewing Midnight followed by a real gem Magpie Brewing Ten For Bliss awesome. Its a place i would be happy to go up town on my own and venture in. Staff seem great along with the clientel it attracts, whats not to like plus they dont take the p on prices. This will be a regular in future 5 mile away over the local GK pub 150 yards away.”

“Lovely old boozer with some modern fittings. Good selection of real ales and ciders. Bar staff a little surly but very efficient. Rough and ready just like the Black Country. Didn’t eat on this visit but the cobs are great!”

“I dont normally write reviews, but based on the some of the negative comments on here , I felt a need too. Firstly, if we dont support venues like this . They will be gone! The landlady was very friendly, and its not much of an ask to throw money in a tray for the band (who had travelled all the way from cardiff). Finally, James Oliver Band are really amazing. Blessed to see such a great artist in a unique setting. We will definitely be back for more.”

“We recently booked a room with Stephen at the Whimsey, for a family gathering after our mother's funeral service, with the buriel just around the corner at Willenhall Lawn Cemetery. Stephen was so understanding to our situation and spoke with us a few times prior to check exactly what we would like. The Whimsey supplied all the catering which consisted of soup & sandwiches, curry & rice, also tea & coffee, at a very reasonable price. We had the whole pub to ourselves from 1-3pm, until he opened, however we could stay as long as we liked. We would like to thank Stephen and all at the Whimsey for making this day so special. We totally recommend this venue for any family events”

“I had a meal at Wrottesley Arms today and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and well-prepared, but what really made our visit special was the outstanding service from our waitress, Tina. She was exceptionally friendly and polite, always wearing a smile .Tina went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and ensured we had everything we needed.No job was too big or too small for her, and her attentiveness really stood out. Highly recommend visiting for great food and excellent service.I will definitely be returning back here Soon!”

“​We had such a cracking experience at Hollybush—we were truly impressed! ​Right from the start, we felt welcome. The first staff member we spoke to, a young woman in black, was incredibly friendly and happy to answer all our questions. We had booked a table online, we noticed the tables had names on and then we found the table which had been allocated to us with our name on up in the back area with the kids' toys. Honestly, what a brilliant idea—it's such a thoughtful idea and keeps the little ones happy. ​When we ordered, the staff were all professional, efficient, and polite. The only slight disappointment was that quite a few things were off the menu—like the kebab, the whole pizza selection, and a specific gravy dip for the burger etc. ​We were told to expect a 40-minute wait for the food, but it arrived in around 30 mins and it was piping hot. The serving staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with the meals. ​To be honest, we expected typical, run-of-the-mill, cheap pub grub, but we were completely wrong! The food was genuinely decent and cooked perfectly. From the fries being perfectly crispy to the burger patties being nicely charred, and even the kids' mac and cheese (which can often be terrible at big chain pubs) was great. ​The pub itself is huge, with so many different areas—it's a real breath of fresh air. We had an outstanding time, and we'll definitely be back very soon to dine with you again. Please do pass on our highest regards to the staff from yesterday—they were absolutely fab!”

“I visited The Firs recently and was genuinely impressed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the mixed grill, and it was full of flavour, well-cooked, and served in generous portions. You can really tell they care about quality. The menu has a great variety, especially if you enjoy Desi-style grills and curries. Everything came out fresh and hot. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Service was quick and smooth, even though it was fairly busy. They made sure we were looked after the whole time. Overall, The Firs is a brilliant spot whether you’re out for food, drinks, or just a relaxed evening. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommended!”
