This food was really nice. As a vegetarian, this place was good. Some customers do get a bit loud however and that did ruin the experience a little bit. Had they been like everyone else, respectful and courteous like every other table . It would have been just a bit better. I get the restaurant can't control their customer base. But still 5* non the less. Going back to the food, I've had a few Italian places, but this just hits differently. The taste is very authentically Italian. Many places dont get the authentic Italian flavor right. This place did really well

I want to start off this review by saying that the staff here were lovely. I want to particularly praise the young blonde woman who was actually on her second trial shift tonight; she really was thrown in at the deep end and seemed to cope with customer demand really well. She was polite, professional and seemed as if she had been there months. I hope they keep her on, or at the very least pay her for these trial shifts! Unfortunately we didn't have the best night - we perhaps should've checked, but there was an event on at the Lyceum so the restaurant was rammed. We did book, but due to the sheer volume of people crammed into the small venue, some confusion occurred with our seating and we ended up having our two course meal sat at the bar. The impression we got is that walk-ins were being accepted and seated whilst people who had booked were left to wait. There were people complaining which didn't help with the atmosphere and the whole night was very busy, humid and stuffy. The food was ok, it didn't blow us away but it was cooked well so can't really fault it. The menu is extensive and covers a wide range of food types, the prices are quite cheap as well. I do also want to note that we were given a good will discount for the confusion with our seating which we do appreciate. The staff member who took our order and billed us couldn't apologise enough. Would we return? Probably, but perhaps we would double check that our visit doesn't coincide with a large event!

What a lovely place to have dinner. I went for the lasagna and it was so good. Add to that great staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Genuinely, a delightful place and well worth a visit!

I stumbled upon this place by accident and gosh was I glad I did. The lasagna is delicious!! Very authentic food and the service was so accommodating. 5/5 stars.

This restaurant has a homey-authentic atmosphere with traditional vibes. The food portions are generous, and everything was extremely delicious. I now understand the hype surrounding this place. I recommend booking well in advance, as it can get quite busy. The vegetable lasagna was certainly unique compared to what I’ve had before, but it was undeniably tasty.

First time visit and upon entering we was greeted politely while been directed to a table. Staff were quite pleasant giving us time to select what we wanted. As italian resturantes go in South Yorkshire they are generic as in mainly carbohydrates offering pasta or pizza dishes with other basic dishes. This was not much different so decided to go all out on carbs as we don't eat meat. Choices are generally limited which is not a reflection on this place as the food was exceptional. We ordered Pizza, Vegetable Lasagne x2 and Quiche with Chips. Portions are very good no complaint there however I was enjoying the Pizza so much I just had to order another with some fries. The food was really nice could not fault anything. As my partner is spending quite a lot of money doing the house up to how I would like it this was my treat to him. As the people came and went they were greeted, staff going out of there way to say goodbye and a simple thank you. After I had ordered a second pizza it was noticeable the staff were concerned, (potentially thinking we would not pay.) Feeling rather thirsty wanting another orange juice I was trying to get the attention of any waitress with no success as none made any eye contact at all. Staff just glanced at the floor or tables towards the opposite side of the room and back to the kitchen which I found rude. After waiting around 10mins I decided to get up order a second orange juice including 2x deserts when they arrived I requested the bill imediately which was paid along with a tip hoping to put the staff at ease that we would not be running without paying. When we had finished eating we got up and left without so much as a thank you from any member of staff no eye contact nothing. Having worked in hospitality myself as a manager this is an important part of customer service and a very simple basic one too. Due to poor customer service and the feeling of been judged I will never re-visit again.

Came here for a meal for the first time with some friends, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I've known people that have been here and have recommended it, but I've never had the time to try it. The restaurant is a very small, authentic Italian. The staff were very polite, and the menu was very standard Italian cuisine. The pizzas were very tasty, and I even had the fruit pizza (very controversial I know, but I would definitely recommend it). They say they don't sell many fruit pizzas but I really enjoyed it, who'd have thought apple's, bananas, pineapple and raisins work on pizza! We also got some wine which we shared, and all beers/lagers are bottled. The mains were very tasty. My only critiques would be they tell you what the specials are on the board because if you're sat upstairs you wouldn't know, and they had some lovely vegan options I wish I saw, but by the time I saw the special board I'd already ordered. They also did custard with the apple pie which isn't mentioned, but I asked for custard and they did do it which is good. The desserts were also not piping hot so maybe that as well. But in general a very good and tasty experience

We didn't have a great experience in this Italian restaurant. For starters, we had pork ribs, garlic bread and prawns. The main course was lasagne and steak. Lasagne and pork ribs were poorly presented. Both were surprisingly too sweet. Steak was disappointing - we asked for well done but the steak was very dry and overcooked/burnt. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The staff gave a discount when we mentioned we weren't happy with the steak.

What a gem of a place. I work away and eat out, on my own, a lot. I spotted the Amex sticker in the window of this lovely restaurant and, I thought, I'll try this one out. On a freezing evening in Sheffield the welcome couldn't have been warmer. I had a delicious meal with ice cold Italian Pinot Grigio to accompany it. A delightful dessert with a small bottle of Rosé Prosecco followed by a nice strong espresso. Nikki and the other staff really looked after me. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. A real Gem. Thank you to all the staff for making a boring evening special.
