The food wasn’t bad, but very expensive for what it is and the service didn’t make up for it either. It’s a shame because I’ve heard good things, but it really did not live up to it. The menu was large and varied, with lots of options from lots of different cuisines. We ate across the board, from steak to hummus to flatbreads and Sunday roasts. Although nothing was β€˜bad’, the prices aren’t cheap and the food was nothing to shout about. A little bland, a little basic, but there were parts that shone throughout. The service wasn’t ideal as well, with drinks taking ages despite an almost empty restaurant, and servers being a little blunt with us. Though the majority was smiley and nice, the bad stuff really stuck out. The atmosphere is good though, even if the place was quiet they still maintained a nice ambience. It was comfy and is great for bigger parties as there’s loads of room and space.

We thought we'd try the new breakfast menu, but to be honest, we found it to be quite average in terms of selection, taste and presentation, in comparison with other restaurants in the area offering breakfast. In addition, the service was extremely slow considering how empty it was while we were there and how basic our selections were! There were 2 other people who had already been served. We had a vegetarian breakfast (with some very unappetising looking baked beans which were unusually pale!)and some flatbread with an egg. These should not have taken over 30 minutes! We were also quite disappointed by the rather unwelcoming and unsmiling staff who gave the impression that they did not want any customers bothering them that morning! Some customer service training is definitely needed in a front facing role! The waiter could not hide his exasperation when I asked for well-done eggs, which was my right to do as a paying customer! Although the food was decent, nice coffee and well decorated, modern and spacious with a lot of natural light from the large windows, the attitude of the staff was discouraging and we will certainly not be returning!

Went out for a works party here the decoration was amazing however what let it down was the fact that i never got my food on time and the brioche bun was burnt. The cocktails was nice however service was slow 45 mins for our starter. Creme brulee was burnt to and the temprature just seemed luke warm dissapointed

We came here at 5 o'clock and it was the perfect time for us. Lovely and quiet. It got busier as it got later, but not overcrowded. We used the Β£10 (mains) menu, an absolute bargain. Food was delicious, we all loved it (also the berry mocktail - fabulous). Staff are really helpful and polite especially the guy who brought out the birthday cake to my friend and me. Totally loved the overall experience and I'll definitely be coming here again

Came here for lunch and we enjoyed the 3 course meal for Β£21. Tasted superb and represented exceptional value. Ordered the mushroom soup, calamari, beef beef bourguignon, toffee pudding and chocolate mousse The soup was served warm rather than hot, but still enjoyable. We were too hungry to send it back, just a minor thing, calamari was good and flavoursome The beef bourguignone was very tasty, with little onions s, bacon and mushroom, carrots and mashed potato. We asked for extra gravy as it was so good! Presentation was great, plates were very hot, service very good. My first experience of eating at this French chain and was very impressed. Desserts were good portions and delicious, toffee pudding was hot and came with lots of sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very good overall, airy spacious interiors, nice layout and great service. Look forward to visiting again!

Terrible!! 10 of us went for lunch this Sunday for my sons birthday. The manager served our drinks. Bumped my sons head a couple of times putting the drinks on the table arms over the rest putting drinks down. You would think he had never waited before. It took them 35 minutes before they took our food order after serving drinks. Starters arrived waiter poured olive oil all over the floor and table as the oil overflowed from the olive containers. Garlic bread was stale! My wife’s onion soup was stone cold, gluten free bread was rock hard. Mains finally arrived and my steak was cold , salad was old and some of it rotten. My wife & daughter had the pork belly Sunday roast. The veggies were warm on the outside and frozen in the middle, the pork belly was barely warm. Oh and the cutlery was filthy! Stay away people.

Tried to get in here twice now midweek without a reservation. Place is less than half full with loads of free tables but they still turn you away. Went to a place just over the road called Romantica and had a great meal so I’d recommend going there instead ! They couldn’t have been more accommodating or attentive and the food was fantastic. Walked passed Bistro Pierre on the way home and hour or so later and it was far from fully booked. No idea what the problem is here but that’s my last time trying to give it a try.

2 dinner party members chose beef bourguignon. The largely cut carrots were well undercooked, almost raw. The waitress said she'd change them. She never came back with any. We mentioned next to a waiter. He went away and checked with the chef. He came back to say "the chef said the carrots were all fine?" One party member said "well I'm not paying for that!" The waiter checked with the manager and came back to say "the manager said you have to pay for it." (Words to that effect, its not going to be removed from the bill). The party member retorted "well, I'm not!" as she was disgusted with the customer service we'd received. The restaurant wasn't busy. Our reservation was 7pm 12th December in Mere Green. The responses we received from the chef and manager were totally out-of-order. The waiter and waitress were not to blame here. It was disappointing as we had recommended going there to our 4 friends (party of 6). Only recently we'd had a very good experience at Bistrot Pierre's Gas St restaurant in Birmingham. That dish was removed from the final bill ultimately. The manager and/or chef could and should have come to our table to discuss the complaint, rather than pass messages via the waiters. A disappointing visit on this occasion.

First time eating here . Had the Sunday fixed 3 course deal. From the start staff was very welcoming and polite. I had the beef dinner as my main which you get the choice on how would like the beef cooked. All in all the food was amazing the staff was great . A great place to eat would highly recommend .
