Good Indian restaurant. Had excellent food and service experience.

First time at Saffron and it genuinely felt like a proper food, not just your usual curry house. The spices were layered, not loud, and every dish had its own thing going on. Plus points for the chilled atmosphere and staff who actually seem to enjoy being there. Rare combo these days!

Ordered online, took around an hour and a half to come. Two of the curries were lovely, two were inedible and actually tasted like vomit. When I called up and asked for a refund for the two curries I was told β€˜they just taste different because they are different curries and two of them are mild’. They offered to send replacement curries but we had already split the two decent curries and we didn’t want to wait again for dinner. The man I spoke to was not helpful at all and kept reminding me that the curries have different tastes!’

Popped in tonight (25-7-24 ) for a curry with my husband, must say the curry was amazing. The service was ok. We had to ask if our drinks were on the way after waiting a while. Plus, we just felt a bit rushed after we had finished our meal. As soon as the table was cleared, they brought over the bill. We didn't even ask for the bill. It would have been nice to have been offered a wet wipe to freshen up your hands. It just felt like you have eaten. Please leave! Would have brought family to try it, but I wouldn't recommend dining here at all.

A group of us were in from the states and searching for a pub. Little did we know, many pubs don’t serve food on Mondays. We leaned this AFTER the Uber left. Had a drink at The Dog Inn and the nice folks there suggested Saffron. So glad they did! The staff was exceptional! From the minute we walked in to saying Good Night… even helped charge my phone . The food was amazing! We all were so happy with our choices and enjoyed sharing and trying new things. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Family meal for 6 to celebrate my niece's birthday, meal set for 6pm. I arrived early with my elderly mother who is a little unsteady on her feet, while walking up to the door staff could see this & opened the doors wide to allow easy access for her, this was a perfect touch of excellent customer service. First class evening of food, service and company.

I found quantity too little for starter not even one person can have it we had ordered lamb chops n chicken tandoori but it was like small 4 little pieces. For the main course they took more than time we were just sitting idle for half an hour. Food was good but kept us waiting for too long for the main course

An absolute gem of a place. Really nice curry house, the decor is beautiful, the service is top notch and the food is really delicious. We got poppadoms for starters which were nice, the 4 sauce/dips that came with it were nice as well. For mains we got the chicken pakoras, lamb Karahi (Vindaloo hot), chips and naan. First off the curry was amazing one of the best I’ve had, chips were crispy and fresh, not oily at all. Naan was delicious and I like how it’s pre-cut, the chicken pakoras were freshly made unlike most places where it’s just reheated. I cannot fault anything at all. We finished with dessert where we had the carrot cake which was tasty and fresh. The vanilla and toffee cheesecake which was rich and tasty. Definitely recommend this place 100%.

Have been past here a few times but never went in. Decor was nice, atmosphere wasn't much really, but the food was great and came out on time.

Hard to fault! It's slightly more expensive than your usual curry house but well worth it. There was eight of us and we all enjoyed a wide range of meals. My only gripe was the tri colour pilau rice could have been improved by a more home style version but I appreciate that others might not agree. It's one of few places around the area that is ideal for that special occasion. Update 27/11, 8 of us visited on Saturday night and sadly our experience was just the opposite to the review above. Average food, poor service, extremely rowdy and very cold especially if you are seated near the doors. You pay your money and you take your chance. Good luck.
