Fantastic place with exceptional customer service. I visited due to getting lost on the way to an important meeting. Meg and Dan went out of their way to help during an extremely busy time and made me feel at home. A credit to the team providing over and above service showing the pubs true ethos thank you and would very highly recommend
First time visitor and found the whole experience great. Staff were very friendly and helpful, service was great as was the atmosphere. The food was lovely if on the small size portion wise. Will definitely recommend to friends who want to celebrate a special occasion.
We LOVE coming here. The staff are always very professional, friendly and accommodating. We were served by Grace P today and the service was great. Atmosphere is always lovely and the food is excellent and reasonably priced.
This was my first visit to Fox & dogs and I absolutely loved it. We came here for a dinner with school mums and everything was perfect. Food, stuff, atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️
Welcome was professional and friendly. We had a good table. Service was great. Alice, our waitress was professional and friendly. Knew our drinks order. Food was good, and it was presented really nicely. Atmosphere was relaxed.
I have visited this pub for meals on many occasions. The last time being 17th December and each time the food and service has been very consistent. Menu has lots of choice and staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient. My latest visit they had clearly been busy and still maintained good levels of service. The food is what you would expect for Ember Inns and again is nice, warm and consistent. Thank you to the Kitchen Team and front of house. Thank you will visit again. Recommend!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Came in with my partner & 2 toddlers for the breakfast with Santa! Waited half an hour for breakfast, the kids were constantly saying how hungry they were. The food arrived cold and stuff were missing off the plates. 0 apology for the service or the breakfast. 0 guidance on how the morning is meant to go ahead. Kids almost didn’t get their ‘gifts’ hardly a gift, just an activity pack, which my partner went & asked for since we payed for it, wasn’t offered to us when we went to see Santa. Oh and best of all! We all had to sit in our coats because the pub was freezing!! No heating whatsoever. Disappointment is an understatement. Definitely never again!
We agree place is lovely staff very nice. We ordered food about 1pm. We didn't get our food for a further hour. The place was quiet so do not know why it took 1hr to get our food. We also ordered the puddings at the same time as dinner. It took 1/2 hr after dinner to get puddings.
Very nice evening meal. Gammon and eggs were excellent. We also had a sirloin steak, well done; that was just as my wife likes it, well done. We would also recommend the caramel crumble apple pie with custard, very nice The sevice was excellent. Remember you order at the bar
I have a mixed review for this venue. In terms of the food: it's fairly basic as you would expect from a chain pub. Lots of options come from a fryer and other items are dressed plainly on a plate with little to no garnish. The food is low priced, so I guess you get what you pay for. The bar area has a pool table and a few gambling machines. The drinks are cheap and the staff and clientelle are friendly.
