Everything was perfect for my first time staying. Breakfast was very good. I stayed in room no 1. And they had a poster on wall in there that said breakfast was from 7am on Monday morning. I got to breakfast at 7.20am. Lady there said it was from 8am. I was more than happy to wait. And I only waited a few minutes anyway. Staff was very helpful. Everything was so clean and I enjoyed my stay very much and I will be coming back to stay again very soon. Thanks so much

We have just had an afternoon tea with you, for my sisters birthday. The service from Sarah was amazing. She made us very welcome. It was a lovely tea, all the cakes and finger sandwiches were excellent, really fresh. So much choice, we had to ask for a bag as there was so much. My husband enjoyed them at home. Will definitely return, and try the lunch.

Had our wedding here on 23rd August, the staff were amazing! Especially Sara! The venue looked awesomely setup, the grounds outside were great with so much space for our guests. The staff worked very hard and we were made to feel very welcomed and had all the help in the world. Rooms were nice, clean and in peaceful surroundings. The breakfast is a must!!!! Thankyou to everyone at the venue for an amazing experience!

We stayed at this hotel for a friend’s wedding, which was a truly lovely event. The food was excellent, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a memorable day. Unfortunately, our experience with the room was disappointing. My daughter, who has multiple disabilities including epilepsy, had a brief absence seizure that led to a small accident on the sofa bed provided. I took care to strip the bed and contain the soiled bedding to protect housekeeping staff. However, I was surprised to find that the mattress had no waterproof cover, which resulted in urine soaking through. In our experience, other hotels typically use waterproof protectors as a standard hygiene measure, especially in rooms accommodating children. Without any prior communication, the hotel charged £50 for "damages." I contacted them to explain the situation and shared that this was not a deliberate or avoidable incident. I also pointed out that the damage could have been prevented with proper mattress protection. In their response, the hotel acknowledged the importance of waterproof covers and stated they would consider implementing them in rooms for children. While I appreciated the acknowledgment, the charge was not reversed. I believe this is inconsistent with industry norms, especially when the guest has taken responsible steps and the situation involves a child with disabilities. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities: no air conditioning or fans, which made it very uncomfortable during warm weather; only two bath towels were provided for four guests; the fridge was not cold; and there was insufficient toilet paper. Overall, while the wedding itself was wonderful, the accommodation and handling of our concerns left us disappointed.

Really nice hotel and setting. Staff were very helpful. We had a superior double. The room was roomy with a comfortable bed. Only downside is that not as clean as expected ( rather a few cobwebs ).

Met my friends for afternoon tea and it was lovely. Plenty of food in fact we couldn’t finish it all! The tea was replenished frequently and the scones were lovely and warm. For the price it was very good value. Very nice and friendly staff.

It was a lovely place in an ideal spot in the countryside very quite The down was that the view from my room was terrible all you could see was a roof, the room had damaged bathroom door it looked like someone had kicked it in and the walls were a bit damaged as well but others than that it wasn’t a bad room. On the upside we had a lovely meal in the admiral even though they were short staff, staff were very friendly and I could not fault them. Breakfast was superb there was only one waitress on for breakfast and she was super she was rushing about trying sort every breakfast out and also sort out hand over of keys

Went here for a wedding. What a lovely place. Staff were fantastic. Food was really nice. The venue for the service was superb. Our friends had this wedding on a budget but you would not have known. Dj was good. Bar staff kept waiting at the bar to a minimum. We had a great time. We'll done to everyone.
