Went for an evening meal with family and friends. Everyone’s food looked delicious and all were complimentary. I had cod loin which was absolutely superb! Very highly recommended and very reasonably priced. Will 100% be revisiting soon! Many thanks to the Crown chefs and staff.
Went for first time last night (15/10/25) and would highly recommend. The food was delicious and can honestly say it’s the best we’ve had for a long time. There’s too many pubs where the food is just okay! This definitely wasn’t. As a group of 4 everyone said the food was excellent and we all had something different. Absolute compliments to the chef. The service was also excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you
Me and my husband love it here, we have come plenty of times and always return. Portions are massive for the reasonable prices, all the food is fresh and delicious. Beautiful quality meat too… Service is lovely!! All the staff are so polite, professional & accommodating which is always lovely :) x
A little quite, but we all know times are tough. The pub is beautiful and the level of service was amazing, very attentive staff. Food was sublime with a great selection of expertly cooked starters and mains that we're aesthetically pleasing and tasted devine. Desert menu was limited but after the huge starters and main courses I imagine many people wouldn't be in a gastronomic state to fit a desert in! All in all a great culerary experienced cooked with great skill and obvious passion. Top marks we will be back very soon..
Large beer garden with playground for kids at the back. There are also few tables outside, closer to the pub back entrance and some nice inside if you need calmer space. Food spot on, all meals were tasty and top quality. Very nice atmosphere, staff are very kind, all take care of customers satisfaction. Deserved 5 * for sure!
We popped in when traveling from Leeds to Hull. Really nice food and great service. Staff are very friendly! We will definitely come again when we get the chance. Thank you!

What an understated place. Looked on the map for lunch and we took the plunge. Fab lamb burger special... If only it was a touch lower on the bill!! Regardless, the quality was there and the spuds and roast garlic side was spot on. Nice surroundings.. My guess is this place gets very busy.. Best get there around midday.. Well done guys.
Very relaxed place during daytime hours, we sat in the outdoor garden porch area. Their 'ultimate vegan burger was nice, although a bit too tall to chomp with two burgers, the salsa and chips were divine! Not too sure about the onion and pickle on a spike though.
