   Was asked on booking to pre order. Even down to how we wanted steak. Couldnt book past 6 pm on a saturday night. Pork belly starter burnt and chewy and served with what tasted n looked like mayo and brown sauce mixed together. All steaks tough and well done like pre cooked. Onion rings black and burnt like re heated. No steak knives. Had to go back to ask for peppercorn sauce as they forgot it. It arrived after 10 minutes of getting food. I ordered a portion of onion rings and they were fresh so everyone with steak took mine as theirs were burnt. Partners pie pastry was raw and sloppy. We booked this place as was in walking distance of where we were staying for a family celebration and the reviews seemed OK. Tipped assistant manager as she was rushed off her feet but got no feed back from our complaint as she was too busy on tik tok sat behind bar as we were leaving. Live music was good though. I never leave poor reviews but this was awful and no offer of apology from management and still annoyed from it now....utter waste of money

   Popped in today as our regular go to was not serving food Freshly cooked that’s why it’s isn’t fetched straight out A good deal 2 meals for £22 The young waitress very attentive as it wasn’t busy told us to sit down and she fetched our drinks Excellent service Portions very large I told them half them and you’ll get more profits

   It seems like this place needs a bit of TLC from the staff. It was very quiet when I visited, which was highlighted more due to the size of the venue. It seems like the decor needs a good spruce up. The barmaid spent the whole afternoon staring at her phone, she should have been proactive and maybe gave the place a clean. I ordered the garlic mushrooms which didn’t taste too great, it would have been presented better if it was served upon a ciabatta bread. The Chicken Parmo was ok, it good size portion.

   Visited recently because we had our dog with us. They are dog friendly so you can sit inside and have a meal. They serve a doggy dinner which was a big bowl of mash and meat with veggies for ruben, he loved it. We had starters and mains and couldn't fault it! Ir was the best meal we have had in a while! Taste is so lovely and all freshly prepared! Not the usual you get these days. It was on the pricey side but worth it as a one off ever now and again. We will deffiantly be returning and so glad we visited as it always looks shut. Ring in advance and check for availability. Hats of the the staff and chef they were very lovely and clearly take pride in what they do.
