   We recently ordered from Coconut Lagoon Restaurant, and the experience was fantastic! The tapioca and fish curry were absolutely excellent—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the onion pakoda as a starter, and it was amazing. Crispy, delicious, and paired perfectly with the chutney—truly mouth-watering! Everything was delivered on time, and the portion sizes were great. Our guests were very happy with the food as well. Overall, a wonderful meal with authentic flavors. Highly recommended

   Disappointed. Quantity of food delivered for the price we pay seems unacceptable. Only egg fried rice was decent portion. Just 5 piece of chicken 65 for >5pounds. Coli 65 was soaking in oil. Did not seem like it drained. Fish curry was only dish which tasted fine. Despite us asking for chutney along with chicken 65, it was not provided. As per menu,vada has to come with sambar which was not sent. Never seen Palak paneer this watery and it tasted just like plain water with chapathi. No spice salt or any taste to it.

   Our second visit here, after enjoying our first visit so much! Shrija looked after us very well, very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious, so well cooked and presented, and the Cobra slipped down a treat! If you find yourself in York looking for something special then you should definitely try Coconut Lagoon.

   We were very disappointed with the food, especially since this was meant to be our New Year’s Eve dinner at home. The portions were small, the food arrived cold, and the taste was underwhelming. The onion uttapam was particularly disappointing—it appeared slightly burnt and lacked flavor. The beef fry didn’t taste right, and the Chicken 65, priced at £6, contained just five small pieces of diced chicken—definitely not worth the cost. We’ve never visited the restaurant in person, but based on this experience, we’ll be avoiding it in the future.

   Absolutely gorgeous non veg Thali. Each bowl had its own unique flavour from the subtle spices. Haven't had such a good Thali since I was in India. Lovely friendly service from smiley waitress too. The house wine was a bit thin but I'm not gonna take a star off the amazing food.

   Not your average Indian. Many dishes you just don’t see in a typical Deshi curry house. Presentation is good, especially starters (see photo). Excellent value and really pleasant staff. Off the beaten track a bit but we’ll worth the walk.

   Mouth watering authentic South Indian cuisine! Ordered masala dosa, idli, gobi manchurian, chicken curry and rice. Everything tasted delicious! The restaurant decor and ambience makes you feel like you are in India! Very friendly staff. The owner herself came to ask if everything was ok which was very courteous. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.

   Booked as looked OK, small place but excellent staff and food. The food is southern Indian food but was just soooooo good. Servers were excellent recommend meals and advising us not to order more than three rice and two breads which was plenty due to size of serving. Not happy as its a bit far to travel as we're two hours from this very special Indian restaurant, next time in York will be going there again.
