   Went for a birthday meal with the family, group of 9, and love it. Something their for all ages to eat. We booked ahead of time and filled in a meal form and all went well. We received excellent service from Gary and will likely be going again sometime.

   My sister booked this place for her and my mums birthday. She made the booking and phoned to double check closer to the date only to find it was not booked correctly and they had no record of the deposit. It's not a simple review, food was in fairness nice and for the price the afternoon tea was good value however they don't seem to be experienced with the service side of things and need a experienced front of house staff member. They have a please wait here sign but if your going to do this you need someone front of house, 3 different groups came in and walked out when they were left to long waiting. The young woman who seemed to be the person mainly at the front was not the most attentive, made rude comments and may of been on the spectrum, it was definitely too much for her as it was obvious she couldn't manage, she couldn't answer basic questions. They just seemed unorganised and inexperienced. All the food being served did look nice and the chips my neice got were lovely..

   What a lovely place we couldn't have felt more welcome! And the food and service were exemplary, thank you gary,I would highly recommend going here! We had afternoon tea here and it was lovely the soup and extra touches make this the best we've had as a group and was amazing value. The other food going past all looked/ smelled amazing. We will be back here what a find!

   Amazing food and wonderful staff. Restaurant is lovely. Marking atmosphere as 4* only due to how loud it was (which is to be expected) but I'm sensitive to noise and it affected my experience. Can't fault the staff, they were perfect. Whoever was working 5th Aug in the evening are awesome.

   I called into the Vale Restaurant at Orrell this evening with my granddaughter, after she had attended her enrollment evening at the John Rigby College close by. We just wanted to treat ourselves with hot drinks and cakes before we set off for home... and what a treat it was. We had a supreme latte, a supreme drinking chocolate (in two of the largest glasses I have ever seen), and cakes to die for. We even bought cakes to take home. The Manageress Gill was absolutely lovely. She was so friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and she made you feel so welcome. The decor inside the restaurant was tastefully modern, bright, and beautifully clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. The bill was pleasantly less than we expected. We will return very soon to savour the afternoon teas and the evening dining experience. Well done Gill - your attention to detail definitely made our visit memorable!!

   I arranged a meal for a group of ten people on the 22/12/22. The evening was enjoyed by all. The food was plentiful, hot and beautifully presented. We had a range of dishes, all were delicious. Our server Harry was polite, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to all at the vale.

   we had a walk from shevington to the vale. was so nice to be able to sit outside on a lovely day. we ordered from the cafe part and the food was lovely. staff where also lovely and friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend it here, won't be my last time going. great atmosphere and I've got to say they've made it look fantastic .
