I booked the hotel for family who have some very specific requirements. They did there utmost to meet these and I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. We have eaten many times in the Pesto restaurant and have always enjoyed the food and friendly service
Be aware! I want to share my experience booking through Booking.com. I booked an executive double room for myself and my 4-year-old son. On arrival, I was told my son wasn’t on the booking. I asked to add him and offered to pay extra if needed. I was asked for ID, which I provided. I was then asked for ID for my son. I contacted his mum in Wales, who sent a photo of his passport, which the hotel printed. After waiting 45 minutes, I was told police checks were being carried out on both of us. After another long delay, I was informed the police had been called to attend. My son is autistic and became very distressed during the long wait. When the police arrived, they were polite but had to carry out checks and contacted Welsh police and social services. I was questioned in front of other guests, which was embarrassing and upsetting. I offered to cancel and find another hotel, but the manager refused a refund and still wouldn’t allow us to check in. We were left waiting in the car outside. This whole ordeal took aver 2 hours. I dont think I will be booking to stay here again.
Went gorr a family birthday ln 31st of October. Been there long several previous occasions. Penalised us for attending as a group of more than 6 by excluding us from the lunchtime deal. We even offered to seperate into smaller groups. Still refused. Very unaccommodating and frankly, mean! Gave a bad taste to the whole experience. None of us will be returning.
Lovely place, staff friendly, food and drinks yummy with lots to choose from. Layla was our server and she was very welcoming and attentive which made our experience here all the better. Kira who made our drinks was a pleasure to talk too and the cocktails she made us throughout the evening were very tasty. Would definitely recommend coming here you won’t be disappointed, we will be returning.
We love this place; all the staff are attentive. Especially, Kira, Will and Adam. The food is fabulous, good value with plenty of choice. We are regulars to the snug and Kira always welcomes you with a smile.
Good menu selection, something for everyone to choose from and food was served quickly and was all lovely. We had a variety of dishes, Great way to try new things! They also do set menu deals with a limited range of items to choose from
Was served by Joel. Who was very attentive to our needs and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. Not only there for valentines but my husbands birthday too. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Value for money with a great selection of foods to chose from. 5* Tiramisu. All staff were polite and welcoming. Would recommend to all.
We didn't book in advance as it was a last minute decision, it was very busy when we arrived but we was seated very promptly. Service was quick. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Food was absolutely amazing. As the fussy vegetarian in the group even I found the variety of vegetarian dishes adequate. Plenty to pick from. Even more if you eat meat. Food came piping hot and delicious.
Now definitely our favourite place to eat. Food and value are excellent, but honestly it's the staff. We've been enough times, with loads of different staff, and different times of day and it's been consistently excellent.
