Today I and three of my friends attended lunch and the meals we ordered were excellent Beautifully cooked and presented Thank you Chef Emma We will certainly be back I would also like to thank the bar staff who were very courteous, friendly and helpful Great staff, great service and great food. The food is always fresh, tasty, and excellent value, and the service is second to none – the team are friendly, welcoming, and really make you feel at home. It’s also the number one spot for sports in Greasby – with plenty of screens and a brilliant atmosphere on match days. On top of that, there are great offers running every day, so it’s perfect whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or making a night of it. There’s always something going on too – the Thursday quiz night is loads of fun, and Fridays with live music are the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Not very good, food took ages and was only warm. Short staff issues were obvious. Rowdy at times, due to being more like a sports bar. Great for families with kids I suppose. Originally booked 2 wks prior and cancelled on the day without notice, leaving us to late to book anywhere else. Managed to get in at a later time only to find the place half full. Wish we had seen earlier negative reviews. W Probably won't go again.
Standard pub grub, although the service was good. My steak was nice and tender. However, my husbands steak was tough. A great plus, you can take your dog, and there's a designated seating area. There are also TVs to watch sports if you want to, pool tables and an outdoor seating area.
We visited this pub as the restaurant at our nearby hotel had no availability. Initially I was sceptical as it looked like just a sports bar with all the TVs. Not the sort of pub I normally visit. However, the staff were really friendly and there were a couple of vegetarian options as we don't eat meat. We had battered halloumi and chips with mushy peas. Meal arrived quickly and was excellent. 2 meals and 2 drinks for just over £20 in friendly pub with a relaxed atmosphere. What's not to like? Shows how wrong first impressions can be. Would highly recommend and visit again if in the area..
Cold mashed potato and cold broccoli, rock hard pastry on chicken and ham pie. Inedible i asked for and got a refund.
Great place to go watch match. The steak and ale pie was really great..best pie I've ever had in a pub.. staff very friendly and TV set up and vision quality was fantastic. The menu is a little misleading when it comes to price..on the 2 meal deals.. says 2 for £14.. but it's not.. But a great place to visit all in all..
