   I recently visited The New Boar, fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and attentive, taking care to make sure everything was right. The food was excellent and well presented. The fillet steak was superior to other steak houses i have visited Would definitely recommend!

   Quickly popped in here today on the off chance. Fabulous decor and a very nice welcome on arrival. Served very quickly and waitress was kind to my request of gluten free options. Food was excellent (very large, generous portions). To the Management. We really want to say thank you to our waitress Darcey, she was absolutely superb, kind, polite and friendly, very much appreciated.

   Stayed here for 4 days with my husband and had the most amazing time. The rooms were beautiful, with plenty of space and beautifully decorated. The service in the resturant was so friendly and attentive. As it was a Friday there was a DJ which made it all the more worth it, not to add the 2 for 1 cocktails. The food was even better! They will defiantly be seeing us again!

   Friendly service, tasty food, good size portions, child friendly and dogs welcome plus ample parking. A real gem! Celebrated a family birthday and had a wonderful afternoon- had a few of the Sunday roasts which were lovely and lemon sole, soup and steaks were very tasty. And they served the gin properly.

   Went there a few weeks ago with my family for my birthday. When we went in nearly all of the draught beer had a glass over which generally means it has ran out. Except it was nearly everything. We also noticed it was quite empty. Service was by young kids who had ‘T’ shirts on and were shivering, not surprised by tjis as it was cold inside. The table was dirty and the knifes & forks were just flung out on the table. Garlic bread starter was nice but that was it I’m afraid. We ordered more drinks at the table which never arrived with the young kids standing catting and shivering together. A waist of £160 and a night tbh. On leaving saw some young lads sitting on the chairs, feet all over them with empty glasses that looked like they’d been there ages. Wont be going back or recommending.

   Great roast lunch, the rest (including puddings) is just OK imho. Service was a bit lacklustre but I'd go back just for the roast and a pint :)

   We went to the switch on of the Christmas lights by Bradley Walsh and Santa !! The blue boar had a small Christmas market in the car pack - the pub was extremely busy but plenty of staff - we had a large round table of 13 and had 3 course roast and we were all veery happy with how lovely it was considering it was so busy but m there ! The service was good the staff were all helpful . We all had a fab day great atmosphere and food was top notch !! Well done blue boar and the staff who worked so hard under pressure x

   Visited for my birthday treat it was our first time. Food and service all great however ended up with a parking ticket £60, what upsets me more not one member of staff thought to mention I needed to register my car at the bar so be careful don't get caught out….!!!!!!

   I visited the blue boar last night with my partner and two friends, we all had cocktails and starters - the cheesy garlic bread was amazing. For mains we all had something different and everything was delicious the chips are unreal! The waitresses were lovely very helpful and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was great too. I would highly recommend the blue boar if you want cocktails and great food! Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back
