   Parking available plenty of spaces available. Macdonald is very close to it can enjoy food after shopping. Staff is really helpful. We had refund lot of unwanted gifts for my son as we already have them.They happily took them back without receipt and gave gift card so we can buy something else instead.good choice for kids too.

   Poor quality, limited range of women's clothes. Also, not the same range as online. The standards have gone down in terms of range, quality and interaction with customers- the bread and butter of what keeps Matalan afloat. I had to self check-out, scan, remove security tags and hangers myself. I asked if they could cash out my items, and was told no because I'm paying by card. There were 3 members of staff at the back that could have helped and given the personal touch. However, they chose not to. I hope they realise that by customers doing everything themselves, they will become surplus to requirements. I bought some baby clothes instead of the women's clothes I went in for. With this change/lack of interaction with customers, I won't be going in store again. I might as well had shopped online. Poor customer experience, if I could have given no stars, I would have.

   Good range of clothing and a small homeware section. Amazon lockers in-store to collect parcels is great. The only thing that really lets this store down is the queue waiting time. Self scan is card only which causes big queues as there is only 2 tills for paying by cash/collection/returns. So there's always a big queue. It really lets the store down and needs fixing.

   And this is being generous ! Customers walking out as no staff appear to 'serve' the customers. No Staff? Then no customers! Self serve tills may be useful to some, and reduce costs, but what about those who believe in spending only that which they have? Cash buyers - look elsewhere - somewhere where service is not a forgotten practice.

   Bought some boots. The sales assistant was very helpful. He directed me to the right place, went to help another customer and returned to ask me if more help was needed. Now that's how to look after a customer. Pity they didn't sell polish. The self service check out was operated by someone who worked there ?
