£6.80 for a small white wine in a pint glass topped with soda, be going to the Royal George next walk it’s £2 cheaper!!! Thank you for your reply but I ordered a ‘small’ white wine, and when told the price I questioned the young lady behind the bar that ‘“it was a small” i ordered and she confirmed it was. It was the 9th of July approx 3pm I was the only customer and i was with my dog so sat in your excellent beer garden.

Best pub for a beer in Mossley We are staying at Well I Hole Farm camping site in our Motorhome We have had food elsewhere in the village which I think is what most of the pubs rely on here but when we just wanted a couple of drinks & some friendly conversation we tried this pub & what a lovely welcome we had the chap behind the bar even. Giving me a few testers before I chose my beer & I must say the pint of Robinsons Unicorn I had was as good as ale gets what a cracking pint my Wife had Henry Weston’s Cider & again very good The locals were really friendly & we had some football banter I would highly recommend anybody unfamiliar with the area who wants friendly pub , staff & locals along with a top class pint to go here it’s the latest we’ve got back to the Motorhome since we bought it 18 Months ago really enjoyed & will be back We did go back on Sunday night & it was advertised as open until 10.30 pm when we arrived it was much quieter than the Thursday night only about 6 of us in plus the young lady behind the bar so when the other 4 Customers left at about 8 pm the young lady advised us we would be her last Customers as she may as well close which left us feeling awkward as if we were stopping her going somewhere so we had another swift drink & left a bit disappointed So my advice if your worried about opening times give them a ring I would have been Annoyed turning up at 8.30 pm to find the pub closed Cracking pint , lovely pub , but check if it’s open if going in the evening
