   Alex and staff in this store were incredibly helpful in tracking down a seemingly very rare pair of boots - only four pairs left in the country in the right size! They found them and had them delivered to my home from a London store. It's also a lovely shop, well spaces out, and with a great selection of products.

   I visited this shop on a Saturday afternoon October 2025. Alex was very pleasant and helpful displaying expert knowledge to aid my choices and I was guided through Loake's new loyalty scheme with ease. A great experience with time freely given and I left with some accessories and two pairs of shoes assured both were the right style and shape for me.

   I went in with my dad and brother and left with more pairs than we intended! Quality products have that effect. Alex was so helpful and patient with us and went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience and fit. His advice on shoe care for a novice like me was appreciated too. Will return when these shoes wear out, that could be a while though.

   We visited this shop yesterday. The staff member in attendance was rude, simply not interested in serving us. There was no-one else in the shop. My son was visiting from the US, he always wears Loake as they fit his feet. We'll go to Cambridge instead.

   I had a fantastic retail experience in this shop on Thursday 5th may . I have wanted a pair of Loake brogue shoes for some years and spotted the shop whilst in York . John was very knowledgeable and helpful and described the difference between the shoes . This resulted in me being the proud owner of a pair . It was great to be able try on different pairs and getting advice from a true professional. So much better than buying online .

   We visited on 15/10/2021 and Cole was incredible. I bought a wonderful pair of boots and a huge part of that was down to his incredible service. Nothing was too much trouble and he took the time to explain various aspect of shoe care and future service/repair of the boot. We will absolutely visit again in no small part due to his great attitude. This store will thrive if all the staff are as attentive as Cole.
