   I can't recommend this shop enough! I've had two appointments now, and been so happy with the shoes I have come away with. Mike is thorough and so approachable. I was nervous before I went for the first time as I hadn't been running long and I'm not exactly what you would call an athlete but Mike put me at ease and was great to natter to. I tried so many shoes on, learned what worked for me and what didn't, and came away excited to get out running with them.

   After a recommendation from a friend, me and my partner booked in for a double shoe fitting. Mike is so welcoming and makes you feel at ease straight away. His knowledge is superb, and is very passionate about finding the right shoe for you. The depth of detail he goes into is fantastic. Not only did I come away with a pair of trainers, but little nuggets of info I can implement into my own training. If you are thinking about booking in a shoe fitting, it should be a no brainer. You may think you already have the perfect shoe until you come here!

   Had my first fitting at Run Forest - Run Shop last week I was so impressed! Such a positive experience. I was given a full debrief - information was taken about running history, injuries and running goals. I did some running about in the shop and on treadmill and Mike noticed issues with my current shoes and certain biomechanical blips. He got me to try out several pairs and landed on Merrell Agility 5 for trail and On Eclipse for road I wanted to wait until I’d tried out both before reviewing and can’t quite believe it. I’ve never been able to put on a trail shoe and do a long run right off the bat. 16 easy miles bashed out no problem, no blisters or rubbing, and I could run the hills easily (without heavy flat shoes weighing me down!), shaving 30s off my long run average pace. The Ons were light and springy and what was meant to be a recovery pace ended up being faster than normal because they just propelled me along! I’ll definitely be back for when these wear out. Mike really knows his shoes, so knowledgeable and ended up going with the first shoes he got me to try. Jess also gave me advice on some other kit. Such friendly and helpful people! I’m so happy, thank you so much Mike and Jess! Highly highly recommend!

   Amazing experience getting some proper running shoes fitted. I will definitely be returning to get my next pair from here. I not only got the perfect pair, but learnt a little bit about running to my specific goal. 11/10.

   As I arrived I was greeted by Mike, and treated to a nice cup of tea. The shoe fitting started by having a chat with Mike about my wants and needs, any past or ongoing injuries, and figuring out which type of shoe would suit me best. After that had been discussed, Mike measured my feet and I tried on the trainers that he suggested. For each pair, I ran on the treadmill, as well as on the shop floor, so I could get a feel for the comfort of the shoe, and Mike could get a better understanding of how they affect my running. Once we narrowed it down to the final 2 pairs, it was hard to pick between them as they were both very comfortable for me. Mike suggested I test both pairs again before we decided which one suited my running best. Mike's service and expertise is by far the highest level I've seen in any industry, I felt comfortable the whole time and Mike had the answer to any question I threw at him. I can't thank him enough for helping me find the perfect pair of shoes. I'll definitely be returning. Thanks again Mike!

   Booked a shoe fitting as I had bought some decathlon shoes to do the couch to 5k, and wanting to carry on running so I thought I'd better get sorted with some more suitable. Mike is an absolute star! Watched me run, try shoes, first pair felt good, few more questions, Run a bit more, try some more and 2nd pair better, repeat, then wallop he finds you the right ones! Can't wait to get out and go. Great service from a great bloke. Cannot recommend enough, and the dogs are gorgeous as well.
