    Disappointed by what Google maps listed as a 'top rated' garden centre. Parking is on-street. There were no plants and the coffee shop is little more than a Portakabin, though it was clean enough. The cakes were all very tempting, but sadly the lunchtime menu was very limited. We arrived just before 12 and were told that various options were unavailable. The group that arrived after us were told there was no food, because one of the 3 staff members had gone home. Coffee was also a let down, very unappealing. Unlikely to return. If this review was helpful please give it a like below.

    A nice little cafe in a in a pretty little village. The staff are lovely. And their sandwiches and cakes are really good value. It's worth a visit if you are in the area. It's also pet friendly which is a bonus.

    An impromptu visit to the coffee shop today! We were looking for a local cafe to meet up and found this hidden gem! It was very busy but we managed to get a table. The food from the neighbouring tables looked good! We ordered a meal deal consisting of a sandwich (comes with salad/crisps), cake and hot drink. A waitress came to take our order. We couldn’t believe how popular it was and how reasonable the prices were. When the food came, the portions were generous!! The food was fresh and tasty. We couldn’t eat the cake and asked for a box to take home. The staff were friendly and we will definitely return again. They had seating outside and also dog friendly! We will peruse the garden centre too as ran out of time today!!

    First rate cafe, with very reasonable prices for excellent food. The service was very friendly and entertaining and all in all the experience was very, very good. I would certainly recommend the Askham Grange Gerden Centre, cafe and coffee bar to anyone and everyone. It’s definitely worth a drive out to give it a try.

    Was recommended to me and wasn't disappointed only had coffee and cake but couldn't eat it all such a large portion only gripe was too much butter cream on the cake and what a lovely gesture to give our doggy a sausage he really enjoyed it.

    An absolute gem. My friend discovered the coffee shop some time ago. The establishment is clean offering light snacks and the most delicious selection of cakes. Coffee and Walnut is my favourite. The ladies serving are pleasant and knowledgable of the product. Well done to all concerned.

    A great little Cafe, lovely staff telling you the best specials. The prices are very realistic. Very clean inside. Lots of cyclists use this cafe. If you out Ascam Richard way this is a great little café to call into.
