   Get off your mobile phone when a customer approaches you to pay, they should be placed in your lockers and only be brought out during breaks. Oh and the correct expression to greet a customer at the till is something along the lines of Hello , or Good Morning/ afternoon and not Hiya ! Alright? As for the shoes, which are great, no one approached us when we we looking around. We eventually found the ones, in the size we wanted, ourselves , and my wife went up to the till and paid for them, . Sadly there is no customer service in this place, it may as well be self service and pay yourself. If you want to sell more shoes and increase your revenue and profitability your staff need to be proactive when it comes to Customer Service. We had previously been into M&S, the difference being Chalk and Cheese

   There were 2 middle aged men infront of me in the queue, the girl serving politely asked both of them if they would be interested in the waterproofing/protection spray service. I am a young woman and when I was being served I was told that she was going to do the service on the shoes that I was purchasing. She gave me a long list of why she was going to provide the service but did not ask if I wanted it. I told her that I just wanted the shoes as they were and she pulled a face. Disappointing, especially because she was youngish herself! It felt like a very deliberate way of selling the service - I am assuming that the staff have a quota to forfill for it each week. I don't think that is an acceptable way of forfilling it!

   One member of staff in this shop is an absolute disgrace! On the point of buying an item I was accused of being a thief on the basis of no evidence. Words cannot describe my anger and disgust at this situation. I have never experienced such disgraceful and reprehensible conduct at any other shop in my life! The person in question has no idea of customer service or of how to treat members of the public and quite frankly should never be working in such a position again! Absolutely disgraceful!!

   Am really pleased with the DEICHMANN store base in Chester yesterday. Good quality . Also The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Was going to buy 2 pairs .end up with 3 pairs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
