Called in at dinner on a Sunday and luckily a couple were leaving as we entered and we sat down. We were told we could have food at that table as the dining area was full. We ordered two Sunday roasts and a couple of drinks. It was very busy but after a bit of a wait it was served and with a right big bugger of a Yorkshire pudding and a lot of tender roast beef.

I had lived in Leeds for 4 years about 15 years ago. I still come back and visit my friends there. Previously, I had only been here at night to have a few pints with my mates, but having come back to visit Leeds after a number of years, I decided to have a Sunday roast before heading back to Manchester Airport. I made a reservation (good idea, as the place really fills up) after seeing they did a roast on Google. I cannot imagine a better Sunday roast. This was an absolute stunner! I'm bringing my Leeds-born son back next year, and we're already planning on visiting Lamb And Flag for a Sunday roast. Do yourself a favour and get yourself over to Lamb and Flag. It also doesn't hurt that it's next door to the rather picturesque Leeds Minster. I can also say that the prices aren't bad at all. Considering I had earlier spent 8 quid on two ice creams from an ice cream van, 32 pounds for a pint, a full Sunday roast, and dessert seemed like quite the deal.

Visited Lamb and Flag for a Sunday roast today and overall had a pleasant experience, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I had the burrata with confit tomatoes, basil oil and rosemary and sea salt focaccia croutons. The burrata itself was quite plain and I couldn’t really taste the basil or anything else on it, but the croutons were delicious and added a nice texture. The chorizo and paprika croquettes were very good. Really moorish and everything on the plate worked well together. The butternut purΓ©e and chive oil paired beautifully with the croquettes. I would happily order these again. For the main, I chose the roasted pork loin with crispy crackling. The pork was a little on the tough side but still had a nice flavour. The vegetables were fairly standard, though the spiced red cabbage was lovely and full of flavour. The roast potatoes were unfortunately far too hard and overly crisp, to the point that they were difficult to cut with the knives provided. A serrated blade would have helped. The Yorkshire pudding followed the current Leeds trend of being massive, which sadly meant one side was very burnt while the rest was decent. The burnt side actually irritated my throat a bit. I do wish we could go back to the smaller, more evenly cooked Yorkshire puddings of the past. To finish, I had the sticky toffee pudding which was absolutely spot on. Soft and spongy with a rich toffee sauce and smooth vanilla ice cream. A perfect end to the meal and easily the highlight. Some parts of the meal were excellent, others could use a bit of improvement, but there is definitely promise here.

What a great place to build bolds and create memories. Firstly for a few drinks, but not secondly, for a bite after the night before. The chef is a β€˜kiss’, spoiling us with his delights and this is not a place to skip if you ever come to Leeds. With a magnificent view of the church and the breeze blowing through the trees, enjoy the great atmosphere Lamb & Flag had to offer. I had my first ever scotched egg and it was delicious, the rest of the party had a burger and chips… recommended!

Super friendly staff, they provided our dog with a nice quiet corner with a water bowl plus dog biscuits. Really good pies and local beers too.

The pub in Leeds that I recently visited was a true gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor was cozy and inviting, with a mix of modern and traditional touches. The menu had a great selection of classic pub fare, as well as some more unique and creative options. I ended up trying the roast with amazing pork, which were cooked to perfection and served with a side of tatoes that were equally delicious. The real standout, however, was the beer selection. They had a wide range of craft beers on tap, as well as a great selection of bottled options. I tried a few different beers during my visit and was impressed by the quality and variety available. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this pub in Leeds and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and a great selection of drinks. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff who made sure our visit was enjoyable. If you're in the area, be sure to give this pub a try!

A great old pub close to Leeds City centre with a great range of beers, including peroni. Not the cheapest pint but tastes very good. Nice enclosed outdoor area right next to Leeds minster. Food menu looks pretty impressive and would come back to eat when next back in Leeds. Pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon, can imagine its pretty packed out in the evenings and in summer

If you're visiting Leeds, this is well worth checking out. If you're visiting the Minster, it's a must. The building is pre-Victorian and packed with history. It was once the home of the notorious serial killer Mary Bateman. It has two floors, a balcony and a garden. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly and the decor is attractive. It seems to be a very popular place to go in the evening and has an over-all pleasant and laid back vibe!
