A party of 15 from the local Young at Heart club enjoyed a really lovely CHRISTMAS lunch last week . Full credit to all the staff Will definitely be a repeat
Nice food but id change your menu as it was all over the place as saw something I wanted bit then couldn't find it again as menu made no sense at all

We stayed in Northowram for a couple of days and were looking for somewhere nice to eat on the first night. We popped in for a drink and the food smelled really good, we both ordered the steak and mushroom pie and being from the North ordered extra gravy, it wasn’t needed. We were served a smashing plate of food which was lovely and tasty, the pies had plenty of steak in them and were home cooked. Atmosphere in the pub was friendly, with table service which was quick. Would definitely recommend the 2 for £16 menu. The pictures on the website could do with updating as they don’t do the food any justice.

Had a gorgeous Sunday dinner with my family yesterday... really good value... Great portions.. the chips ... sadly were sooooo nice I ate far too many . Staff couldn't do enough either and made sure my little girls were well looked after too! So glad this is our local pub!!!!
This is a regular haunt when visiting my family in Northowram, and that is only because it is excellent in all regards. The menu is broad, the food is delicious, the chips are exquisite, the price is good value, the inside is beautiful, and there is a play area for children.
Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Nice easygoing pub. The food is good and not overpriced. I've been in as a general customer a few times and recently hired out their function room and outdoor space for a party and the buffet they did then too was lovely and we ended up with such a generous amount of food and actually, I think more than we'd payed for. I'd definitely consider booking it again.
Love this village pub. Its friendly and cosy. Great food and great portions. The prices are very reasonable. I'll be back!
