Extremely poor selection on display and the staff were more interested in sharing their weekend activities with each other than actually assisting customers. SORT YOURSELVES OUT!!
First class customer service from the young lady who just served me in your Orpington branch; polite, attentive, courteous, and a great personality. She is a credit to the company.
Tulay wasn't very nice. I was after some shoes but couldn't find them in my size and as we were leaving my little two year old saw a pair of sparkly girls trainers that she really wanted. We asked if she could be measured as we weren't sure if she was a 5 and a half or a 6 and Tulay said there was a queue of 4 people waiting. My husband said he doesn't want to wait and just wants to go home. As we were leaving I saw an infant shoe measurer so I measured my daughters foot and it was a size 6. We looked at the width and requested the shoe. Another lady asked to double check my daughters foot as they didn't have the initial width I requested, she was a 6F instead. She was about to get her the size and we would have bought it and left but Tulay spoke to her and she came back and said we have to wait for the others in the queue. 25min passed and no one had helped us or brought us the shoe and my 2 year old and 3 year old were so fed up they wanted to leave. Initially my daughter refused to leave without the shoe but after waiting so long even she was fed up. I absolutely understand the queue and waiting but the time it took is absurd, we would have bought those shoes in 5min if Tulay had just gotten the shoe instead of standing at the door.
I was served by a Dan, he displayed great customer services. Well done Dan.
Have been a Clarks customer for long but never experienced the rude behaviour before in any store except the Nugent park store. Seems it was the store manager or someone who was Assistant Sales Manager. I knew the shoe size for my child but to be doubly sure tried to use the feet measurement tool and this chap wont let me use it for my daughter. The tools were lying around unused, but he gave me 3 different reasons the three times I tried using it. Although I am well versed with the tool itself as we also have been in shoe business before, but its more about attitude towards different customers, which is alarming. What was baffling that the staff were standing for customers to chose the design, simply waiting on them, instead of letting other customers in. No wonder there was que in the store earlier, just very poor use of available resources. These people should be put on some trainings to learn how to put use of the resources of organisation in best possible manner. Tools lying around in the shop but people are not allowed to use them, on top of it the rude manner of speaking from a person who is supposed to be the sales manager. What is also notable that he gave 3 different reasons for me not to use the tool, which just tells that they were all just lame excuses.
I've been taking my 20 month old daughter to clarks every 8 weeks to get her feet measured. I've booked online and had no problems. Each time the sales assistant is friendly and helpful. My daughter is fitted into her shoes and she walks away happy. Cannot fault the service.
The staff were helpful but to have to wait 10 minutes to be served, to only find out that none of the shoes I selected were in stock was very disappointing. There must be a better way.
Brilliant staff. The young lad David that measured and fitted my little boy with his new shoes definitely deserved a bonus. He has the patience of a saint. To say my 13 month old was a little monster would be a massive understatement and David kept his cool.
