Second visit for an afternoon tea 6/10. Good sandwiches but a very basic selection . Cakes where very dissappointing and cream with scones was on the edge of use by date . Plenty of tea to be drunk. Maybe I expected too much (high quality for such a venue) I booked to celebrate family birthdays but it missed the celebration I hoped it to be. From both of these experiences I cannot recommend,I've waited for my second visit in the hope it would improve. Overall experience was disappointing. I confess it was on an offer ,I wonder maybe this is why it fell short ?

Enjoyed the 4 day Christmas package . Great value.no cooking or washing up!. Staff excellent. Buffet meals not so great but set menus with table service excellent. Location fabulous with amazing views. Spa really nice especially outdoor heated pool. Would thoroughly recommend.

Disappointing. Visited on Monday 27th October for an afternoon spa session. Greeted warmly by the lady on spa reception. She was welcoming and professional, explaining the outline of the afternoon. The free tables in the cafΓ© were uncleared and the floor very dirty, with spilt food around our feet. After receiving our order of Moroccan salad, we were extremely disappointed with the bland taste and dry texture. At Β£11 (plus Β£4 for 4 slices of halaoumi), it was an expensive meal. The changing rooms were extremely crowded, with discarded towels and flip flops, as the laundry bins were full. All areas were thick with dust and nobody cleared glasses or black serviettes off the floor throughout the spa. The whole spa was colder (air and water temperature) than was comfortable, especially when sitting in damp robes. One of the staff said she'd been cold all day. We both enjoyed the massage, although had different experiences for the same treatment. We wouldn't consider returning. 2 stars are for reception staff and massages.

Beautiful place for afternoon tea. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely setting with a beautiful tree in the centre of the room. Gorgeous views over the countryside. The people who work there are so accommodating. Great afternoon tea, would definitely recommend and return in the future. Nicely decorated at Christmas time with lovely festive music. Cosy and warm throughout the restaurant with nice lighting.

My wife and I, together with our daughter and her partner, attended at Shrigley Hall for afternoon tea on 25th November. Never been before, but what an amazing venue. Absolutely stunning setting, and from what we saw of the interior, very smart and impressive. The staff were very obliging and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. On learning that it was my wife's birthday they put together a small tray of cake and sweets nicely decorated, and presented it to my wife. A lovely gesture. The afternoon tea was well presented and delightful. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in wonderful surroundings. Thank you Shrigley Hall and staff, we will definitely be coming back, and we would recommend this to anyone.

I had a work conference at this place. Beautiful building and very open grounds. Room was nice and modern but I heard they have some older looking ones too. Staff were helpful, friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay. A bit pricey but I'd probably go again.

Played golf here for the first time, absolutely loved it, started off with a superb bacon butty and a coffee. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape considering the heavy rain on the previous days. We all had a good day which was topped off back in the clubhouse with a few drinks and a singalong with a crowd of Welsh golfers enjoying their captains weekend. Looking forward to playing again.

We had our daughters wedding here! We want to thank you for a truly magical day! We booked the wedding before covid and every step of the way they have been brill. The day ran so well, was so planed to the last detail. We can’t thank the toast master enough, He was brilliant, put everyone at ease. Would highly recommend the venue, the hotel is beautiful. The food was amazing, plenty to go around. My daughter truly had the wedding of her dreams.
