I am currently staying at this hotel. I specifically booked it because it advertised having a swimming pool. However, I have now been informed that the pool closed at 3:00 pm and is not actually part of the hotel — it is operated under a separate contract. The pool is closed today and tomorrow due to New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. This information was not disclosed at the time of booking. I booked this hotel from 31st December to 2nd January solely so my children could enjoy the pool, and this has resulted in a very disappointing and frustrating experience. This is not what was advertised, and it has completely affected our stay.

Absolutely brilliant. If you are flying from Manchatten airport port. It's less expensive than booking the airport parking. Only slight downside. For a 6 am flight the shuttle bus doesn't run until 3:00 am. Even then veezu is around 20 quid.

I have stopped at Britannia hotels for years. I am aware of their budget status and have no complaints based on what I pay. Airport Inn Manchester was well above what have experienced from them over the years at other hotels. The room was clean and very well provided with clean towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There was a kettle with drinks making supplies. There was a drinks machine complete with pods. The restaurant was full so we couldn't get a table. We chose to eat in the bar which again was clean and tidy. The food was well cooked and presented. We didn't hear any plane noise from our room, which others reviewers have mentioned. Overall an excellent stay. I have judged the hotel against the price I paid for this stay

I stayed here on the 30th of September in room 102. The staff were very friendly in the bar and reception area. This was the only positive experience of my stay. The room's insulation is like tissue paper you can literally hear every sneeze, cough, burp, fart noise from every other room. The horrible smells, every time someone flushed the toilet wafting through the room. This is not my room's toilet, this is everybody else's toilet. You hear the flush then the smell comes. I only had minutes sleep after been woken up constantly during the night. This is not good when you have an early morning flight to catch. What can I say about room 102 well it smells like p-- Honestly spend your money on a descent hotel closer to the airport, and you will have a better night's sleep and feel fresh for morning flight. I would have done this but they where all booked up in advance, so make sure to book in advance some where nice. Gets 1 star because of paying nearly £100 for no sleep.

The room smells were really intoxicating with some products (glue or paint) that were being used. Front desk said sorry can’t do anything about it. We are fixing some bathrooms. The room shouldn’t being booked. The carped in the rooms were old and making my nose to block. At least made me not sense the horrible smell anymore. The lounge looks ok for a beer. But avoid eating there if you can. Definitely look for a different place. Do not recommend this one.

After reading comments on this hotel, it was a little off putting, but I must say the staff were efficient and helpful. The hotel itself is a little tired but was worth the money. The bar food wasnt too bad drinks were a little steep.. I'd stay here again, very handy for the airport...

Second time I have stayed here for business. The room was £55. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Yes, it's dated but if you are only spending an overnight it is more than fine. There was some swearing in the bar but, when asked, it stopped. Having a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, cardio-gym and resistance gym on site is a massive bonus, though at £5 each session. Rob in the bar was terrific: polite, helpful and professional with all clients. Some say you get what you pay for. I think you get more for your money here. That said, I wouldn't bring the wife!

If you suffer from dust mite allergy, stay away. I had the worst ever hotel experience in my life and at a price of £77 per night. The room carpet and all over filthy. The bed sheet was not clear but probably freshly changed. The rest was a mess. No water in the shower no towels. Carpet of the stairs rather smelly. On the ground floor I sat down on one of the red armchair in the dining/sitting area of the main hall and I got immediately sick (sneezing, watery eyes and all that comes when one suffer from a huge allergic attack). Really, this hotel needs refurbishment as it is not safe. It is unfair to have to experience something like that. I ordered some food abd paid for the full variety of ingredients in the Mediterranean salad, but I was served only rocket and lettuce (tomatoes, cucumber and feta cheese) were missing. They did not bother to tell me that they could not serve the rest. I was exhausted of the experience and just waiting to leave and never go back.

Hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The whole place is dirty, smells of cigarettes throughout the hotel, clearly the room had no been cleaned in a while. We reserved a double room, we got a family room with two single beds pushed together to make the double bed and a bunk bed In the corner. Absolutely disgusting room with dirt and mould all over the bathroom and stained/marked sheets. The whole night there were people smoking in the rooms next door and as our room was an attached room with middle door we had to put a towel down to try and limit the smoke! We both got bitten all night by what I can only imagine are bed bugs! We stayed there 5 hours and they were the worst 5 hours of my life. Didn’t get any sleep because of the stale smoke smell and the bed bugs mainly. Stayed there for a quick over night stop before catching a train! Worst decision ever, would have been better sleeping on the floor at train station. This place needs to be shut down.
