    AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE Very disappointed not with just the company argos but the call handlers very disrespectful not helpful at all I had a broken tv and rang up to have it replaced as I did purchase insurance on the TV. Upon calling i was told i could have a replacment and to wait in tomorrow 8-5pm. I then had a text message stating it was cancelled i rang multiple times after this i had the phone put down on me 3/4 times and then i got through to a manager. He had resolved the issue by stating i could have a refund as soon as the TV was collected and I'd get one lump sum on a gift card via email and £50 egift voucher sent to my email for what had happened previously i was thankful it was resolved. The next day the TV was collected and no refund rang up to have the phone put down on me again and then when I finally got through i was told the payments have been split into 3 separate ways and that I'd be waiting 5-7 working days. I have the children off school and no TV i cannot even get a replacment until they issue the refund next week this was explained and they still did nothing to help. They said one thing and did another please avoid like the plague. I have shopped with argos most the majority of my life never again after this what a poor company they have turned into.

    Terrible customer service off the staff member I dealt with, very argumentative when she realised she was in the wrong. Fortunately the customer support agents over the phone are helpful and know the company returns policies and set the store straight. Will never use this store again!

    Click and collect was so easy, unfortunately that's where the good ended. Purchased a gift for Christmas sadly it was no good for my partner, took it back to the store was told could not return it because it had been opened, how can you see if it's right if you are unable to open things . Not very helpful will not be shopping there again

    We came into the store to look wedding rings and we were greeted by a wonderful lady called Dee. She was so helpful and gave us such an amazing experience. She measured our ring size after so many jewellery shops wouldn’t do it for us in Chester. Thank you for being awesome ❤️

    I’d give them zero stars if this was an option. I went in and was the only customer there. 6 staff stood behind the counter chatting. Not one made eye contact or said hello or can I help. I went to the order pads myself in the end. I paid and went right up to the counter. Again not one member of staff looked at me or acknowledged my presence. The item came down the conveyor belt and no one moved to get it. Eventually one of them did. They came to the counter, no greeting or eye contact or smile. Shocking rudeness and apathy. There are plenty of people out there needing a job. This lot were like the walking dead but with less charm.

    Absolutely shocking customer service! One staff member was very abrupt and rude. Unable to see her name badge but she must have been in her late 60s, short darkish hair and glasses...She looks like a typical "jobsworth". Don't get me wrong I love the elderly but this lady was definitely chewing a wasp! I then asked to speak to a manager (Clive) who then came out after a few minutes. The staff member was obviously informing him about my complaint. For him to then say "there's two issues here". There was no "how can I help you today" or any other professional greeting. He was abrupt also from the start. I asked to take the matter further and asked for an email address which he then returns with a phone number. I asked for an email again but he said he hasn't got that information. He then informed me that I might get an address via Argos.com etc but as a manager he doesn't have that information??? Very unprofessional and extremely rude. This matter will be taken further!
