June 2025. Rip off merchants steer clear & never again. I paid a one off fee £139 for an engineer to attend the next day. He was in my kitchen for less than 5 mins. He took a pic of the label inside my fridge as the seal was hanging off the door & needed it replacing. A few hrs later rec'd an email saying they couldnt source a replacement. I called customer services & asked to be refunded & they said no. I called my bank & a few days later I was refunded by them that way. What a way to do business ?? UPDATE : August 2025. I was invited by my bank to respond which was fully comprehensive to go assist's response. Their bank had no objections to what I had stated & kept my refund & case closed. Beware of the sharks !!

This company is fraudulent and untrustworthy. The technician came, claimed they didn’t have the necessary parts to carry out the repair, but still charged the full repair fee. They did not solve the problem at all. Avoid at all costs.

Money waste. Called the Go assist services due to good comments on trust pilot but, money is gone and the washing machine still broken. Paid £139 for the engineer visit, after that paid more £63 for a new pump that was supposed to be the reason of machine's failure. After part fitted machine still not working and engineer has left without a second diagnosis. He would contact the company to schedule a second visit. Neither him or company get in touch. I tried to reach somebody on live chat that is useless, couldn't sort any type of problem there. On top of that, company has updated my case as repaired. I called the company next day, they instantly updated the tracker as "engineers is due to attend repair". I directly contacted the engineer the day before the visit that have not confirmed the appointment. He said that I would need to buy two more parts to be done. No quotes were sent by email, had to call again. The quote was exactly £460, yes, for two parts that were not even checked if need to be replace. Yes, £460. I bought a new washing machine on Currys for £430 including delivery, dismount, install and recycle. In addition, the brand new part in the broken washing machine is gone.

Really shocking, I was quoted 138.99 for a replacement stop tap which I paid, the plumbers came out, pulled out my washing machine as well as the waste pipe which they left and said I would have to have a quote!! When I used my washing machine the water from detached waste pipe flooded my kitchen, I've complained several times, requested to cancel my policy in writing and by phone, all unanswered, I just get the "we have asked for more information" line which I've given several times! The worst rip off company!! Don't go to Go Assist!!

FOUR weeks I have been waiting since the first time the engineer came to my property to “fix the leak!!” Is a leaking pipe! that needs fixing and he didn’t do anything!!! Since then this pipe is leaking!! This company claims that 90% of the issues can be fixed the same day!! Why this engineer didn’t fix the leaking pipe on the same day??
