   Dirty tables, unpleasant experience. Overpriced nut cracker latte tasted nothing like described. They didn’t even put syrup on the top and it tasted like regular coffee. Very hard to follow recipes?

   The staff here are great and work very hard to serve everyone. When I visited it was really busy for a Tuesday morning and the cafe is small and doesn't seat that many guests. The team work hard to get food out and make sure everyone is happy. It's a busy spot in the middle of a carpark on a retail site so outside seating options aren't up to much.

   Always had a great experience at this costa and think it’s the best one in St Helens. The staff are always extremely nice and welcoming, the food is nice, and drinks are always spot on. This time we got 2 hot chocolates and they were great. The atmosphere in there can be a bit loud but it’s never unpleasant or uncomfortable, you are normally able to get a seat, it’s generally clean and tidy, the staff to the best to keep cleaning the tables but then it’s busy it can sometimes take a few minutes and this is to be expected. It’s nice to see that the staff have a good relationship with many members of the public that come in and call them by the first name clearly they care about the people and don’t just want to serve drinks.

   To start the review I will explain a few things first. Not a regular of these overpriced coffee shops, had an opinion about them prior to walking in. I only went in as I had to wait for an hour for my bike to be fixed in Evans cycles, was cold out and thought I would grab a coffee and watch the world go by. Instead, bought a coffee, had to clear the table myself, as you can see Im not the only one, other customers doing the same (see picture, crossed out face for privacy). Staff 100% focused on revenue, been here for 40 minutes and not been from behind counter once to clean, collect or move dirty dishes from tables, ledges or other flat surfaces. Third member of staff appears and quickly goes behind counter to serve rather than clear tables. For a premium brand the cleanliness is terrible. Coffee tastes ok though. Maybe I picked a particularly bad time on early Sunday afternoon but every occupied and vacant table is dirty. Need to do better

   I felt like stupid after asking for the breakfast meal cost 2.50£ end up paying 10.60 . I've told to take what was on the top shelf and she said what I've chosen wasn't included on the breakfast. I asked to pay it separately and make a better deal. The girl sent me to seat down. I felt stupid and intimidated.

   It's a Great location with free parking.. I am very pleased to see it's vastly changed positively since I'd first visited in 2015.. Friendly, helpful and I think great staff.. Food always looks fresh, well presented, wide variety and apple supply... My choice of drink is a Soya cappuccino which has always been as expected ( I visit Costa UK South- North.. ) tables are cleared regularly and their toilets have been on both occasions clean and well stocked.. Definitely will be going back as they're open later till 19.00- wish more Northern Coffee houses were open till 21.00+

   Normally great service, although it was a rather busy Sunday morning. Ordered drinks and food, had to remind staff of the food order after nothing arrived after a 20 mins wait and others who arrived after us were served. Best was we only order toast! But the staff did rectify after I asked.
