We went to the seven charity shops in North Finchley. This was the first we visited - well run with mainly furniture and household goods The staff were friendly and the store was well stocked Big shout out to the lovely staff giving their time!
The one particular staff (polish woman) is very rude and no common courtesy towards customers. Kept telling me that she struggles to run the shop etc...if that's the case then maybe you shouldn't be doing the job that you are struggling with? (simple) a customer doesn't need to know these things as it's not there issue, that's a you issue, can I suggest that maybe you take a course on public relations so you know what you can discuss with a customer but also, most importantly know how to conduct yourself in a professional manner which is very important.
I donated a few things to this store and had a great experience. I was told the dining table would need the legs taken off and to check for the fire safety labels on the chairs. The van came on the day they said and the collectors were prompt and polite. I loved getting my email telling me how much all the donations were sold for and would not hesitate to donate more in future.
Wanted to donate a brand new Fishpools sofa as moving house. It is Wednesday afternoon and would need it collected by Saturday morning. The woman on the phone advised that they would be there by Saturday 1pm I said I need a guarantee it would be first thing in the morning or an earlier day. She then said it may just be easier to take the couch to the dump. You know the saying looking a gift horse in the mouth? Very disappointed
No instructions was given prior collecting that the wall unit that need to be dismantle in small parts. Terrible collection services, the team are completely rude and arrogant. Just told item are too big to collect and make you feel you are waiting their time. What a disappointed experience whilst doing for a good cause. Feedback immediately to the shop and guess what they almost told me that it is my fault not have the furniture dismantled and ready to pick by the staff. Gave all the excuses that why their staff acting like that and not send a single apology for their services. Don’t waste your time and avoid their collection at ALL costs.
