Great food and nice venue..the staff was very welcoming..I had probably the best food you can have in a local pub..Big portions and very tasty home made food. The Fish and chips was huge!

Well and truly a pub experience. Lovely atmosphere but very busy. Very traditional pub decor and clean interior. The food was nice, I went for the mixed grill washed down with a pint of Peroni. The only thing I’ll say is that they had lots of beers of draught but the they didn’t have a menu and the waitress couldn’t name them either. Although, I could have easy got up and looked myself but a so mentioned, it was busy and would have been much more convenient to have been told at the table. Very small issue. The service was good, quick and friendly. Everything ing you’d expect. Lovely establishment and clearly it’s well run!

Pre booked for Sunday lunch. You have to walk to the premises as there is no on-site parking, but plenty of parking at near by supermarket. ( free for up to 3hrs ) There was a warm, friendly welcome, and as we had booked, Didn't have to wait to be seated. The service and the food were excellent, and staff very helpful. Highly recommend

Went on a Sunday and it was very busy, good job we had booked a table for 5. We had black pudding, nachos and pork belly, followed by 4 roasts and 1 pie. 3 of us had to force ( we were already full) on of the best crème brûlée ever. We will be back

Fantastic food as always. The steak and ale pie has a nice crust and none of this puff pastry one. The sea bass was light and fluffy. The only small gripe was the crumble topping. However the stewed apples were outstanding so the crumble topping can be forgiven. Great pub.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at the Hop Vine. Beef Sunday dinner was fantastic, we had a few starters between the group (garlic mushrooms, salt and pepper calamari and some breaded brie). All the food was awesome. Lots of beers on draft and the wine was very good too! Highly recommend!!

The Best pub food and drink I have been in this year. Very friendly and welcoming pub. You know it's a friendly pub when someone brought their dog with them. They brew their own beer and they have different types. The roast beef was excellent. The chicken sticky was fabulous and generous portions. The desserts were excellent served with amazing ice cream. Unless you are lucky you may need to book a week in advance, it's that good.

Excellent food and good service. Out of seven people, not one was disappointed. Quite busy on a Sunday afternoon, but the staff did well to attend to us.

The Hop Vine is one of my favourite places to eat in the area and have not dined here for a while. We had the Steak & Ale Pie, Hunters Chicken and for desert Apple Pie & Cheesecake. Why if one of my favourite places to dine do I give 4 stars…..simple…The Hope Vine has set high standards with our past visits and this visit was very good but not as good as previous (now we are splitting hairs here) as it was very good. I think it was because we enjoyed our desert more than the main course. The staff here are very and I mean very good and friendly some of the finest in the area. A wonderful selection of real ales. I wish I could pop the star rating at 4.5 but can only put 4 and not fair to put 5 when I know and have experienced the Hop Vine at its finest previously. Would I return - yes, would I recommend to anybody - absolutely. One of finest Pub / Restaurants in the area.
