   I popped into The Charles Holden yesterday completely at random for a meal and a couple of drinks, and honestly didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. The atmosphere in the bar was spot on. It was warm, relaxed, and exactly the kind of vibe you want from a proper local. Jet was brilliant from the moment I walked in. Super friendly, chatty, and genuinely helpful without ever feeling pushy. Alex was just as great and had really positive energy, was quick with recommendations, and both of them made the whole visit feel a lot more personal than you usually get in London pubs. They also mentioned their app, which I didn’t know about, and it ended up making the beers even cheaper… absolute win. The menu was surprisingly good too with loads of choice, proper pub food done well, and the place has decent TVs for watching the football plus board games if you’re sticking around for a more chilled one. Nice little touch that makes it feel like a real community pub. I’ve just moved to the area, and this was exactly the kind of spot I was hoping to find. I’ll definitely be back.    An amazing pub. The bar staff are very friendly, especially Nathan, Joanne and Patrick who are legends. Amazing drinks on tap, especially the Guinness, and great outdoor seating area especially in the summer. They show some sports on the screens in there. Also the fact you can use the Pubbl app to make the drinks cheaper and earn points is lovely.

   The Charles Holden has genuinely become one of my favourite pubs in South West London. Every time I walk in, there’s this relaxed, welcoming vibe that just feels right. The staff make such a difference — Holly is always warm and friendly, Lily has that effortless charm that puts you at ease straight away, and Joe keeps everything running smoothly without ever making it feel rushed. They’re a huge part of why the place feels so inviting. The food is consistently good — proper pub classics, cooked well, with generous portions and no nonsense. Drinks are fairly priced too, which you really appreciate in London, and there’s always a solid range to choose from depending on what you’re in the mood for. I also really like the Pubbl app they use. It makes ordering quick and simple, lets you earn points, and basically takes all the hassle out of waiting at the bar when it’s busy. It just works. Overall, The Charles Holden is a genuinely lovely pub — calm, friendly, and easy to settle into. Great people, good food, fair prices, and a proper local vibe. It’s the sort of place you look forward to going back to.

   Friendly pub with a great selection of beers and a spacious beer garden. The food quality is okay, but not adequate to the price hence only 4stars

   Friendly staff, easy to book a table for a large family (11). The Sunday roasts were good value and presented well but all were lukewarm when they arrived and the staff started clearing the plates when some of the family were still eating. Wines were good and lovely desserts on offer.

   Great pub and garden and lovely staff. However went for dinner recently and was very very disappointed by the food. Sausages were not very nice and mash had chunks of raw (not fried off so very raw/ sharp) onion and parsley. Such a shame as we love it when not eating :)

   Great outdoor space, very friendly to dog owners and families with young children as they even have a space for the little ones to keep themselves busy while adults can enjoy a nice, cold drink! The food is nice, average priced. Bit disappointed, no cocktails in the menu, even basic ones but maybe that is to be expected for a pub? We had a great time!
