Location: Easy to access from the tube station (Aldgate East) and is on the same street as Old Spitalfields Market which makes it perfect for a finishing point after a day of market shopping Food: The vegetarian Sunday roast was lovely, would come back for the food! I will note that our food was lukewarm which was disappointing as it felt that it wasnβt served 100% fresh Service: Although the staff were friendly and jokey with each other which is always positive to see, it felt that we were forgotten a bit as a table and there wasnβt anything exceptional to note about it Other: The womenβs toilets need some serious attention, the loo rolls on the back of the doors is very odd, there were all sorts of cutouts in the walls, and generally untidy. I liked it enough that I would come again if I was in the area, but I wouldnβt travel out of my way to visit

We stayed at the Culpeper for the night before and the night of our wedding. We're very happy that we did. The rooms are gorgeously presented and well equipped. Upon arrival, the staff were impeccable. I'd like to call out Otto who was almost as excited about my wedding as I was and made us feel very at home for the duration of our stay. I've yet to find a pint of Harveys Best, but will think of him when I do! One point to note, the rooms are up 2 flights of stairs with no lift. This was probably clear when we booked, but we had either not noticed or forgotten. Fortunately this wasn't a problem for us, but could make for an unwelcome surprise if you don't know before you book! We'll certainly be back for a drink soon, and hope to stay for a night again for our anniversary next year. We'll see you all again soon!

The Culpeper is a very nice pub with a few rooms. The pub is on the ground floor, the dining area is on the first floor and the rooms are on the second floor. Apparently there is also a roof terrace, but it was closed when I visited (mid-October). Breakfast is served at the sister hotel one street away. The breakfast was okay, but nothing more. The staff were very friendly and welcomed me with a welcome drink. The rooms are good. The bed was a bit short for me (I am 1.83 metres tall). The bathroom is also not designed for tall or slightly larger people.

So I popped in this boozer today hoping to get a bite to eat. Unfortunately they were fully booked and I just ended up having a quick pint. Now I must say it wasn't just a quick pint it was actually me buying my 18 year son his 1st pint before he goes off to uni. I had brought him up from our sleepy kent village to send him on his way to own path. What I liked about this place was evening though were fully booked and couldn't accommodate us the staff in the bar were awesome. A special shout out to a lad called Ty. The lad was awesome. So friendly and professional. An absolute credit to the pub. But not to put any doubt on other members of staff. They were all great but Ty was next step. Thank you for a great experience. Highly recommend this pub.

Great place- lovely decor, atmosphere and range of draught beer. Writing for a big massive shout out and thank you to Sean! Friendly, great knowledge of the range of ales, and his watchful eye over my belongings saved my life - best kind of human- thank you!!! Making it a safe place to be, also. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely lovely experience, delicious tender beef and chicken, nice drinks, friendly staff and great atmosphere to spend a rainy Sunday. My recommendation to elevate the Sunday roast plate is: it would be great if you serve one medium size carrot and one medium size parsnip instead of one large carrot and a bit more chopped cabbage for each serving. Many thanks. Kind regards. T.

I came here for the Christmas lunch and the food was very good. The pulled beef and the sticky toffee pudding were particularly delicious. Very impressed with the quality of the food and drinks. The venue is nicely decorated, albeit a bit hipster-ish - wood and exposed bricks. The staff lack personality and social skills which is the only minus. Not a single word was exchanged other than: βAre you finished? Can I take this?β

This bar is so nice! Came here last week with a group of friends and this great ginger guy served me. He was excellent with his recommendations and made us feel us so welcome. The whole place and atmosphere was so good. Loved the bar service i received throughout the night. The decor and whole vibe was on point. Cant wait to come back for my birthday drink up!
