Chatsworth House is well worth the visit. We enjoyed the Christmas celebration and the house was decorated to the nines! Stunning property with acres of green pastures. The gardens are breathtaking. Friendly staff and ample shopping options for keepsake items. They have a few options to grab food or a hot cup of coffee or mulled wine. Yum! Take the time to explore the stables outside. Easily missed when youβve toured the entire house. Word of caution that getting to Chatsworth House isnβt streamlined and we spent some wasted time waiting for transport. Getting a train to Chesterfield is no problem but once there youβre a bit in your own. You can grab a 107 bus from the train station but getting back is the challenge. The intervals were an hour or so apart and if you miss a bus, youβre waiting in a long queue. We gave up and Ubered back.

Lovely day out at xmas. The house is beautifully decorated with all 47 trees. Especially loved the enchanted woodland theme with the fairies this year. The light projection onto the house was beautiful too. Only niggle is the two way route past the rockery for the light trail.

The Christmas market here is amazing, came last year but the weather was dire, better this time so able to explore fully. Loads of artisan crafts, food and drink. The house was nicely decorated for Christmas again with the light show on the facade after dark. Book early as tickets sell out and there's never any walk-ins on the day.

Beautiful house and gardens, so well kept and cared for. Staff extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Food and shops all a little expensive but that is the same at similar venues. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and the light trail well worth waiting for the sky to go dark.

I loved our visit to this historic home. Such an amazing place to wander around. Inside and out it was Christmas themed and the trees in each space were just gorgeous. I could have spent so much more time wandering the grounds but I was cold so we will return in summer to see it all in full bloom. The staff are absolutely top notch and so polite and welcoming. A small price tag for such an experience. Plenty of parking and a lovely, not over priced gift shop to buy some lovely things. Would highly recommend to anyone. Please go at least once itβs a great family day out and dog friendly in the grounds.

This was a near perfect day out. We got stuck in traffic and missed our entry slot. I phoned the house and they were aware of the problem. Told us not to worry and promised to get us in as soon as they could. This set the tone for the day. Everyone was so helpful, and pleasant to deal with. The Christmas decorations were just stunning and each room came up with different ideas. The stewards were very knowledgeable and freely gave us info about the decorating process. There was a short queue to get into the restaurant. The staff were not fazed by my onion allergy and assisted me to choose my food. The turkey cobs were really delicious. We ended our day at the farm shop with a great cup of coffee and goodies to take home.

Beautiful place to visit only walked in the grounds and went into the farm shop which is jammed with so many fresh and locally made produce its amazing, bit more expensive, but worth it. Massive range to choose from. The Cafe's are lovely food smelled and look delicious and luxurious. The toilets alone are very different, they are all mirrored in and out of the cubicles in gold. They are very clean and neat. The grounds are vast and beautiful, there are picnic areas, we took a picnic, plenty of Sheep wandering around, you need to take care where you walk and drive. They also have Deer and Cows. There are private gardens that you can pay to look round and also the house which will cost you a fee. They had a Man on Fire exhibition in the grounds, these were from America. They had a small good fair there where you could sample food which is sold in the Farm Shop. Good place to go to take your dog, but must be kept on their lead. Plenty of security staff around to keep eye on things. Wonderful place to take kids and wear them out, there's a lovely little river to watch the ducks. It's a lovely day out especially if the sun is out, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Such a grand stately home with tons of arts displays complimenting the historical pieces. Love the vast garden, with different sites of scenery, not enough to see them all in a day. Kids love the farm yard and adventure playground. I would love to go there again with the 50% off voucher. Can easily spend a lovely day out with family here.

Fabulous day out, beautiful gardens and the maze was so much fun. We thought it was going to be easy butβ¦nope :-) we had a duck come sit with us by the river while we had coffee which was lovely. The sculptures are amazing. The coal tunnel in the rockery is an interesting walk, makes you feel like a child in an adventure.
